微雨紛飛的晚上,濕滑的行人路,沒粗心大意的行人。本身道路既暗黑且窄,行人本來就罕至。像燈蛾撲火,擇轉角最光亮之菜館而入。不算偌大,就兩邊廳,大枱就一兩張,其中一張在廂房,其餘多是四至六人枱。見牆身大大塊店長推介,沒標價,不虞有異,點了其中兩樣,其餘看餐牌。不消十分鐘,一中至大扁平不銹鋼鍋來着,埋單始知此「花甲胡椒海南雞鍋」盛惠$328,委實說不過去,首先是鍋為不銹鋼,如沒爐溫熱着,散熱極快,食至中尾段湯涼了也浮起溫呑的油;其次,雞件已斬得夠細件,但煮得过了火,已成火鍋沉底之雞肉質感——本是滑的部位如雞背、髀變嚡;本身是嚡口的雞胸變硬。花甲大小叫做「交到貨」,但何不將兩餸拆開點?海南雞、豉椒炒花甲,雖不創意,但實際。食後自問。另一店推——「尖椒炒魚扣」$168,小部分魚之胃部,每條只一顆,本就預算價錢有氣派。坊間小炒魚扣菜式稀有,有的多用烏頭扣,個頭小,肉質較爽、結實,此味罕用龍躉扣,個頭大一倍,狀似粗條豬油渣,口感亦類同可口。尖椒黏着籽的才辣,怕辣吃甩籽的易入門。「海南四季豆」$98,就這樣蔥段清炒來說很寡,樣似扁豆角,味是7成豆角、3成西芹,別於常見豆類,粗纖維一碟算是炒得夠鑊氣。「

「土魷蒸肉餅」$88是為縮水阿伯而設的老少平安家常餸,碟頭不大,肉餅起到膠,土魷味略嫌不均亦未夠濃。

和某些食肆一樣做法,免加一,只是餸菜價錢似刻意調高。

大刺刺攤出七百幾大洋當然換唔到black pink飛,但換到「教訓」——點菜留意有沒標價,無謂弄得有付費期望落差。
