Was in Hong Kong for a few days and had a craving for some authentic Pakistani food. Found this place and was pleasantly surprised.It’s a nice small place opposite Times Square. No glitz or glamour but decent food.Would recommend it if you want a good meal.Over all a nice restaurant to be there. Only issue is the space for which we have to wait for some time. over all happy visit.

After a nice Sunday by the beach, we stumbled upon this restaurant when our bus unexpectedly stopped at CWB rather than Wan chai. I thought I'd give this a try, seeing many good reviews of this place.

It is located on 2nd floor (all stairs, good to have exercise to eat tasty food). An average looking restaurant, with a mix of tourist and locals. Located at the heart of CWB, this place is not hard to find. Literally a stone throw away from Timesquare and Apple store. 

We ordered Dal Makhani, Butter chicken, veg biryani, and palak paneer with spicy poppadoms as well as 2 lime soda and a mango lassi. The food was relative quick, tasty and hassle free. The restaurants on a Sunday night was 60% full but it wasn't noisy. The food was good, they don't use MSG, and I did not have any after taste or weird sensation after the food. I would say, the palak paneer was nice. Veg biryani was a bit wetter than expected. 

All of our food came to around $400. We ordered quite a lot, we had take away for 1/3 of the food afterwards! Price was reasonable. I would recommend it.

They definitely serve one of the more authentic-tasting Indian food in Hong Kong- CHICKEN JALFREZI is pretty good. FISH Pakora is a nice starter (crunchy batter with soft meat inside), but sometimes it may take a bit longer to come. 喜歡海鮮,因此喚來一道乳酪濃汁蝦($85)。黃澄澄的醬汁濃稠適中,辣度很輕,反而有頗強的香草味,大人細路也啱食。約有六隻,體型中等,質感爽彈,只可惜沒甚鮮味。乳酪濃汁可說是這道菜的靈魂,最好便是配以煙煙韌韌又燶燶地的烤油酥薄餅($22),能夠吸索所有精華,Yummy!

飲品方面,幾乎每次吃印度菜也必點芒果乳酸($32),質感類似超幼的沙冰,透心涼呢!成品甜度出眾,酸味則較含蓄,邊食咖喱邊享用,解辣一流。至於好友點的瑪沙拉奶茶($22),香料味濃,雖然富有地方色彩,可是小妹未懂欣賞。

I love Aladin's Mess because it was the first Indian restaurant I tried in Hong Kong and that was in 200x but at that time I didn't have a camera back then.All I remember was sitting on the corner table and the restaurant was dim that time and not as bright as now.The menu was roughly the same as before.Decided to order exactly what I had on my first visit to take a trip back memory lane to see if it still tastes as good.Visually, it looked the same especially my favourite sag aloo, the spinach

Decided to order exactly what I had on my first visit to take a trip back memory lane to see if it still tastes as good.

Visually, it looked the same especially my favourite sag aloo, the spinach is finely chopped which is different to the sag puree.
Everything was as good as before and the portion of raita was huge and it tasted damn good.

Ordered the Jaljeera because I love cumin and strangely they asked if I wanted syrup in it and  I was like nooooo wayyyyyyy.

The cumin wasn't strong but I like the way they serve the soda separate so you can add it yourself.
