My boyfriend and I are in Causeway Bay a lot, and we're well aware that we're spoilt for choice in Causeway. Yet, we still come back to Aladdin's Mess pretty often because it's always a solid and affordable choice for dinner. The menu isn't too small, great options for both meat eaters and vegetarians. I like that there's a pretty good selection of naan too. Nothing too expensive and all very reasonable prices. Cheese Naan 芝士烤餅 $24 / Garlic Naan 蒜蓉烤餅 $18The naan here is pretty good (probably why

I always judge how good an Indian restaurant is by their palak paneer. Although this one isn't blended into a green gravy/sauce like it is in other restaurants, this one here is still packed with flavour and is just the right amount of spiciness. The paneer cubes aren't that big so don't expect to get soft curds here, not too many cubes throughout the dish either.

I usually like getting masalas because the tomato base keeps everything quite light, sometimes with richer curries, it becomes much too filling with bread. There was quite a nice number of fish pieces in this curry and the texture was quite soft. Also really flavourful and paired really nicely with the naan.
Overall, Aladdin's Mess is a solid choice for an easy weeknight meal if you're in Causeway. It's friendly on the wallet and you won't be disappointed with the quality of food here. It's right opposite Times Square as well so it's at a great and convenient location.
