An easy and safe choice for a typical Chinese meal. It has all the important dishes within the Shanghainese dishes such as xiaolongbao. We had a pleasant service with little to no hiccups (approximately 8pm with no wait time). Once we ordered the food came quickly and was certainly fresh. The indoor ambience was light and welcoming, and felt like a higher class restaurant.


The food we ordered consisted of kafu tofu, golden silver egg spinach, fresh fried river shrimp and scallop crab meat. I can honestly say that the food here stays true to the origin and the flavours are really good. The food wasn’t expensive and is actually cheaper than most places I have previously been. The most surprising dish was the fresh fried river shrimp because it was a considerably lower price than what is offered at other restaurants. Overall I would suggest people to come and eat at Crystal Jade.


I would suggest customers to double check their bill before paying, there is a tea charge and a service charge. If you’re paying by cash, it might be more than you initially anticipated.

As we don't eat meat, we didn't get the usual order here of 小籠包 steamed soup dumplings and 擔擔麵 dan dan noodles (even though there is a vegetarian option, it's really just noodles and broth). One of my fave Shanghainese style starter dishes! Thought the one here was a bit too oily, but was still flavourful and had nice big chunks in it too. The mushrooms soaked up lots of flavour and there was a good amount of edamame too.

Although we were disappointed that it wasn't amaranth leaves, the spinach still paired quite nicely in this dish. The broth was nice and the mix of eggs were great too. Overall quite a generous portion of vegetables considering the setting, but then again, it's over $80 (incl +10%) for a plate of veggies.

Liked that this was nice and light, goes really well with rice too. Thought it was a great mix of egg white and scallop, and it tastes even better with a sprinkle of white pepper (which you can get tableside!)

Thought this was quite yummy, I would recommend this. This dish can turn out quite bland sometimes, but this really wasn't and it also pairs really nicely with rice. Portion could be bigger. 


We each had bowl of rice for $15, and tea money per person is $9. 


Overall, a pretty decent meal but for $200 per person, it was definitely quite pricey (yes, I know we ordered seafood dishes, but those could be of higher quality too). Good to go for an easy meal out but don't expect anything too special. I appreciate the fact that they have a full page for vegetarian items at the back though, great to see restaurant chains do this! Especially meat heavy ones.

As the Gold member of Crystal Jade, we managed to get a table for 2 with a short wait.The booth seat arranged was quite comfortable with sea view. For the main dish, we chose Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet and Sautéed Diced Chicken with Dried Chili & Nuts. The fish fillet was fresh and blended well with the sweet and sour sauce. The fillets were large and tasty with pineapple slices. The Diced Chicken was not really spicy and was savory.

在這疫情情况,食店經營艱辛,一有機會就會到 ,喜愛的店, 支持支持。 來到這間店, 果然抗疫設備齊全, 座位間隔有屏風, 亦有將客人隔開位置坐, 這樣也感到特別舒適, 送上茶來,也加了杯蓋子,蓋上 非常衛生, 小處也這樣貼心,值得稱讚。照樣點了至愛擔擔拉麵,端上已聞到香氣誘人,擔擔麵的精髓在於湯的醬,麻醬是主要,加上辣油肉碎,花生碎,蝦米粒等,濃厚香辣,配上彈滑口感麵條,值得99分,令人滿足。但同行姊姐就話,味道好但還可以更好,例如可加些排骨,雞肉或肉碎多些,有咬口更佳,希望店家可有更佳改善,攞足100分。

在這疫情情况,食店經營艱辛,一有機會就會到 ,喜愛的店, 支持支持。 來到這間店, 果然抗疫設備齊全, 座位間隔有屏風, 亦有將客人隔開位置坐, 這樣也感到特別舒適, 送上茶來,也加了杯蓋子,蓋上 非常衛生, 小處也這樣貼心,值得稱讚。照樣點了至愛擔擔拉麵,端上已聞到香氣誘人,擔擔麵的精髓在於湯的醬,麻醬是主要,加上辣油肉碎,花生碎,蝦米粒等,濃厚香辣,配上彈滑口感麵條,值得99分,令人滿足。但同行姊姐就話,味道好但還可以更好,例如可加些排骨,雞肉或肉碎多些,有咬口更佳,希望店家可有更佳改善,攞足100分。

從前一定要等很久才有座位,現在竟然不用等候,可直接入座,還有折扣優惠,都是疫症惹的禍。上海小籠包依舊好吃,雖然皮不算很薄,但內饀味道好,若湯汁咁多一點就更好。四川担担拉麵湯頭夠辣,麵質也不錯。鎮江排骨酸酸甜甜,味道非常好,不過排骨略嫌過肥。總括來說,食物味道不錯,不過份量不算多。想一讚的是在這非常時期,奉上的茶是有蓋子的,覺得比較衛生。

04 Jan 2020 星期六嘅晚上9點半左近, 客人還有一半, 當晚吃了小籠包(4隻) 味道一般, 燻魚-->可能係食過嘅燻魚經驗中最差的三甲之一, 可以忍受炸過頭乾柴口感嘅燻魚, 但呢個真的是難以形容的不協調, 過乾是一定的了而且件魚本身僅有嘅魚味都無, 個汁係糖漿般我寧願佢無乜汁都重好一點, 雪菜肉絲麵同四川擔擔麵都係一般水準, 麵的質感係現時在大部份超市買到嘅日本來九州拉麵口感 - 少少咬口, 極之適合掛汁, 總結係可能無叫啱佢店嘅拿手野啦, 普通嘅一餐,
