The sunday brunch costs you $298 and the portions are pretty big! Starting off with a salad buffet with some selection of cold cuts, then a tapas, a peruvian styled baked egg (where you can choose 5 ingredients from their list which covers most edible things on earth) and then the main course where I choose a duck confit served with coriando rice and avocado, the lunch will end with a small dessert as well. The duck confit was delicious, the rice and avocado brought a good finishing touch to the dish and I have to say I really enjoyed it.

Although $298 wasn't exactly cheap but I'd say the amount of food they provide certainly delivers value. I'll come again!

With the two 14oz steaks, salad, empanadas and fries, we were all too full to get any dessert. I asked for the bill and went to the washroom, thinking about leaving afterward.

As I returned from the washroom, the manager pulled me aside and asked if I was celebrating a birthday... and I had totally forgotten about dessert and the message and the candle as we were too full. In order to make it a perfect birthday for my helper, I ordered the chocolate lava cake. She enjoyed the surprise and the cake, it was perfect!

And to even more of a surprise, the manager put the dessert on the house! I was so thankful for the reminder, the thoughtfulness of the staff and the kind gesture! Given food, service and atmosphere is great, definitely will return soon!

牛味很重,但不是騷味,是很好的牛味。肉質又恨嫩,算是處理得很好,缺點是冷得好快!旁邊配的番薯加甜椒醬讓人欲罷不能。好邪惡的感覺。

好了,探險式的秘魯菜還算是蠻成功。下次可以試試別的奇怪的東西。歐耶~

I have been here for lunch several times. Good Service, great food and reasonable price. Their coffee is a must-try item. You will regret if you miss it! Dining at El Mercado is one of the best dining experiences I have encountered in Hong Kong. Highly recommended!

Went there twice recently and really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. El Mercado is the perfect place to have a nice long dinner with a friend or date as the atmosphere is intimate. Special shootout to Sandeep who took such good care of us and made sure my friends and I had a good time! Will definitely be back and will be recommending this place to friends. Pro tip: go for the chocolate lava cake if you have space for dessert. Sooo good! The yuzu sorbet is really good too!

The service was one of the best I have experienced in Hong Kong. The managers and servers were very attentive and friendly.Besides the service, their food was very fresh and great. There was a semi-buffet and main courses to choose from along with desserts. The Peruvian food here is really the deal.I would highly recommend and will definitely return in the future.

We arrived 7ish pm, the restaurant started to filled up after 8pm.  Mostly are foreigners, it's a nice getaway venue for HKgers - not necessarily be LKF every Friday - Agree?
The drinks and the desserts were impressive.  I think the drinks are a little pricy though - most alcoholic drinks are priced over HK$100+.  Mojito ($108), Frozen Margarita ($128) & Maracumango ($68 - non alcoholic). 
We ordered 2 desserts to share, we had the 2 under "Divine", the chocolate lava cake ($128) and NY Malt cheese cake ($108).  Both come with scoop of rose-like vanila ice-cream.  I forgot to ask if their cheese cake is home-made, it's so tasty so it's worth the calories
.  The choco lava cake is a great one
,  they ends our dinner with contentment. 


We had 2 starters and 2 mains.  The Ika Ceviche ($178) was the winner of the night
 , we're mersmerised by the flavor of it, the combination of calamari, sweet potato & fish already made us mouth watering.  It's surely a good dish to recall.   The tuna tataki ($148) was one of their signatures, but honestly speaking it isn't something so remarkably yummy, the tuna were a bit tough and chewy, I'd prefer the Ceviche more. 
The coriander flavored rice sat under the duck confit ($208) was so good, it can be a great veg dish on it's own without needing to adnorn others.  The Anticucho platter ($318) came with 6 skewers; 2 chickens, 2 beef hearts (yes, it's heart of a cow) & 2 beefs.  The beef heart was surprisingly soft and tender, contrararily making the beef a bit chewy and tough.  All meat are flavored just right, I like how they wisely balance the chilli and sour taste as well as the aroma of herbs. 


If you wanna be seated at their by the window tables, I'd advise you to book earlier.  Unlike the other busy restaurants they won't ask you to return the table after 2 hours, so we were able to enjoy and slow down all night long.  This is one of the things I appreciate very much.  Hope they keep doing it.
