Some special combination set is really recommended, especially the GC Classic Burger with 8oz prime beef, bacon, double jack cheddar with hand-cut French fires, with one floral & honey taste bottled beer, quite good deal

For the craft beer, interesting and girl-welcome taste, honey sweet plus ginger spicy (very little) and a little lime fresh.

Two starters are just with normal quality and from the picture, you can see the general style of American dishes, in terms of presentation. I won't recommend mussels coz it's just simply cooked with creamy sauce in a light texture and the mussels are fresh but small. Buffalo chicken wing is good, covered by very rich sauces, while strangely, I love the celery dipped with little sour cream sauce a lot, just love the crispy and juicy moment when giving a bit, and the rich & slowly-melting feeling of sour cream in my mouth.

It's really colorful dish, just like the hot sexy regions of South American. A combination of different corn flakes which is super crispy but plain in taste. The cheese is much more important thus to give a salty & cheesy and 'sticky' experience, with some avocado mash, the texture overall is a 'mass' in the mouth. But in general, it's not savory and spicy enough as my experience toward Nachos, so a little disappointed.

Classic American-style burger never let you down (if the restaurant really means it!). They use 8oz prime beef to make the main & most important part, but actually every layer of this burger is so nice! The bun, fluffy & soft; the bacon, greasy & savory salty & chewy; the cheese, super rich with slightly sour taste, well matched with meat & oil from bacon and beef. Even cut into 4 blocks, every girl can have a satisfying bite, and with fresh & juicy sides, you won't get too much greasy feel.

Two desserts as the closing items of this great American dinner, I prefer chocolate fondant to the sour-taste pear dessert. For the fondant, they don't mean the melting effect when you cut from the middle of the cake; the hot chocolate & better in the centre is in a semi-texture, with rich taste and not too sweet, and the cake around is very good, crispy on the surface, fluffy in the middle, a little humid close to the centre

之後再到個caeser salad,又一失望之作。佢隻boiled egg本身係個精華所在,每次一切開見住蛋汁係咁出黎個下真係好開心同埋好好食。今次完全熟左,連食蛋白都有怪味。同埋食碟Salad chesse仲多過菜,平時我地兩個人share,真係有排食,今次一次就已經分哂,份量大縮水。

本身完全無諗過上黎打食評,但我地對呢間野真係徹底失望。平日我地仲不停介紹人去呢間餐廳食飯,而家連我地自己都唔想再黎。

真係好失望,唔知係唔係轉左手,等我地見佢出左個loyalty program我地仲鬼死咁開心,點知係失望而回……

my kids loved the mac and cheese. I liked the cobb salad, however it changed in recent months. It used to have crispy wonton strips and other interesting ingredients but now it's more a mish mash of stuff with similar texture. i like the flavor of the bacon and cubes of grilled chicken but the dressing (whether ranch or honey mustard) is a bit bland. my wife had a cesar salad and it was ordinary. You can get it with chicken but ask that it be grilled.
The classic buffalo chicken wings are crispy but is smothered with spicy sauce.

Anyway here we are. We initially set the gathering time at 11AM, which obviously none of us could make it, including myself. In the late morning, the restaurant was still pretty spacious. We got seated at the old place I used to sit. Feeling the warmth of the natural sunlight beaming in, it was such a relaxing day out.

The brunch menu is avaialbe on all Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, and it was quite exciting. Not to my surprise, all prices has increased by 10% or more. To be fair it is reasonable as the percentage price rise in Cafe de Coral is even greater than that.

 Other than the brunch menu, I also had my eyes on the burgers and sandwiches. Here they had some really attractive sandwiches! Actually that morning I spent an hour working off my fats in the swimming pool... but here comes these irresistable gourmet. Oh. I am sure I can work it off next week. And a little incentive is DEFinitely needed for on-going success.

Rowena treated herself Egg Benedict with Smoked Ham ($142). This one is not bad too! I had a taste of the spinach and it was so creamy and delicious. The hollandise sauce was also flavoursome and delectable. Though I suppose the creaminess would really make the second piece be rather thick and greasy.

And look! here it was!

I loveeloveeeloveeee the fries here it is like the most unforgettable item being served here other than Egg Mariana and the English full breakfast. (May be because I haven't yet tried the famous Chocolate Mud Pie) I love the fries because they still remain crisp even after they are cooled. They are similar to the once served in BLT Burger, and you see big bits of potato skins sticking to them I LOVE THAT!!!

My burger is also served with a small, pretending-to-be-healthy portion salad.
I would say the cook is really trying his very best to be thoughtful for girls, so make it less guilt for them. But actually, with or without the salad, the thousands of calories are still there right on my dish. And I have my eyes popping out, mouth watering when I smells the aroma of the meaty beef and onions......

However when I cut the burger in half, I was rather disappointed because it has no association with the word "medium". It just appeared as if it is completely cooked.
Thankfully juice was locked and it was not as dry as I imagined. But I would say the burger must be pretty fatty as how can it be so luscious after the meat is fully cooked? Anyway the patty was beefy and when combined with the camarelised onions, earthy and chewy mushrooms, the mild cheese was finger-licking good. The bun was airy, spongy and it was very lightly to toasted. I would say a tinny winny bit more salt and pepper may help to highlight to sweetness of the meat.

While enjoying the crunchy fries, pulling out all the hottest gossips at school, it marked the end of our little girly gathering. It was so nice meeting you all eventhough we were always occupied by our own business during the semester.

Have a lovely summer girl. It's really a time for us to chill and have fun after the tough work at school.

We wanted to bring the family out for a meal and we all decided for some pub food.

We googled and decided on this Restaurant and made a reservation. It was our first visit.

When we reach there about 1230 pm, the restaurant was only a third filled. The Filipino receptionist/waitress was not very interested in our reservation and using hand signals indicated to us that we could sit anywhere. ( how frivilous..)

Anyway the restaurant was at the end of a row of other restaurants on the open terrace area in the Elements shopping centre. We had initially wanted outdoor dining, but it dawn upon us, that CENTRAL was the ONLY restaurant without a front terrace/ porch for outdoor dining.


To keep up our spirits from the initial disappointment and indifferent staff / service, we made ourselves comfortable on the lower dining area of the restaurant. We ordered:

a. 2 Kids meal
- Mini Burgers - very mini - 3 small burgers about a half an adult fist size - decent not fantastic, with fries served on a paper pirate box. (HKD92)
- Fish bites - like the fish and chips (HKD99)

b. Fish and Chips - very tasty and large portion. Best dish amongst all but incredibly expensive (HKD379)
c. BBQ Ribs - Tony Roma's are tastier. Too overly dripped in BBQ sauce.(HKD208)
d. Pasta Chicken paninni (HKD118) - normal
e. Nachos with cheese - rather badly done - and the cheese was spread awefully over the Nachos. Chef probably had a 'hangover' when preparing this. (HKD 112)
f. We had the lobster bisque - quite decently prepared except that the it had a bitter overlaying taste making it less palatable for us. the soup was offerred in 2 sizes, we took the bowl and shared this through 4 bowls.(HKD99)

We also had some drinks which taste from weird to decent.
Mojita (HKD78) + Rasbery Mojitas (HKD78)+ Gunner (cocktail) (HKD36)+ coke(HKD38)

Because we were not overwhelmed with the food, we took 'conservative' desserts of chocolate cake (HKD79), ice cream. Nothing unusual - good and creamy just like Dreyers...maybe it is..hahahaha.

On the whole, service was lacking and need major improvements. We could not even get the staff attention when the whole ground floor of the restaurant is barely 400 -500 sq ft.
Food was not fantastic but then its not too bad either.

Overall damage is HKD1,707 ( incl tax) for our family of 4 children and ourselves.

We don't think we will return.
