配菜為牛油粟米&涼拌大豆芽, 牛油粟米味道一定唔會輸, 而涼拌大豆芽麻油味濃, 兩款都很對我胃口

先提供餐牌是次消費呢個一口牛飯真係唔錯,先講配菜,右上係酸菜,幾惹味醒胃=GOOD。左上係粟米粒仲熱,要食左先,唔係凍左會冇咁好味,正常質素。飯真係意外驚喜,D飯唔似一D cheap餐廳煮到又濕又一patpat,而且佢加左D味粉係面,齋食飯都覺得好好味。而D牛比一般餐廳水準高,生熟程度剛剛好,唔會太冧,又唔會「鞋」。入口牛味足夠,夠鬆化。另外有個燒汁,味道似鰻魚汁+酒味,點牛食冇咁油膩,你可以用汁撈飯食,個人口味。豬肉唔「鞋」,冇過熟。煮得夠入味,但係偏淡,同預期味噌味有D出入。二選一就牛好食D。野飲方面,要記得走冰或少冰,如果唔係味道會幾淡,不過野飲送既就算啦。整體評分:味道:8/10份量:8/10性價比:6.5/10環境:5.5/10

呢個一口牛飯真係唔錯,先講配菜,右上係酸菜,幾惹味醒胃=GOOD。
左上係粟米粒仲熱,要食左先,唔係凍左會冇咁好味,正常質素。
飯真係意外驚喜,D飯唔似一D cheap餐廳煮到又濕又一patpat,而且佢加左D味粉係面,齋食飯都覺得好好味。
而D牛比一般餐廳水準高,生熟程度剛剛好,唔會太冧,又唔會「鞋」。入口牛味足夠,夠鬆化。

豬肉唔「鞋」,冇過熟。煮得夠入味,但係偏淡,同預期味噌味有D出入。二選一就牛好食D。

筆者又到深水埗開飯啦,今次又發現到有間食日式嘅店舖,該店大約開了 4 - 5個月到,門面雖然普普通通,但比佢嘅大玻璃窗吸引著,皆因可以坐在玻璃窗前一排5 張的椅子上,一邊開餐一邊望在街上人來人往,好過望電視啦 ,另外一排椅子就要面壁,而另外一排椅子就面向廚房的,店內座位雖少,但都可以坐到大約 15 人左右。首先在收銀台處點餐,點餐票有個號碼,那號碼是方便服務員送餐的 同友人分別點了2 份餐,分別點了門口的招牌菜板上照燒雞 $42,及一口牛$52, 餐飲就奉送冰凍水蜜桃紅茶,在等餐的時候筆者的外國老闆都來這兒食午飯;台上有個牌寫著 : 用餐後請將垃圾放到垃圾箱處 ... ... 怪不得食店裡好少員工等了2 分鐘,先送上甜甜的水蜜桃紅茶,再過大約 5 分鐘,2 份餐一齊送上,用紙盒承載著有多件的照燒雞,日式野菜及粟米,照燒雞味道少甜調較得好,雞肉冇雪藏味,雞皮還燒得帶點脆;至於一口牛雖然貴多10 蚊但值得一試,牛粒份量多,燒得好稔,另外一個小杯子放上燒醬汁的;還有飯上放了橙色粒粒,少許芝麻粒及少許蔥粒,啱晒用嚟送飯。以上的餐能足夠滿足一人午餐的份量。

Layout was very bright and chic. Seating is in the form of bar top tables facing a wall with high top chairs. Menu is in English and Chinese. You pay and order (cash only, no 10% service charge) at the cashier. When the food is ready, you pick it up yourself at the pick up counter. You can order a burger or their bento sets. Bento sets include a main, rice, vegetables and the daily drink.

The food is cooked on a griddle top, hence the name. This is something that is not commonly found in Hong Kong but for those that grew up (like boyfriend and I) in North America where westernized Chinese and Japanese food found in foodcourts are cooked on a griddle plate (a big flat metal plate), it would be nothing new.

Teriyaki Chicken Bento ($42). When it arrived, it was neatly placed in a cardboard box that seemed like a decent size. That was until I opened it up.

Inside were partitioned areas for the rice and meat, corn niblets and vegetables. Corn was basically something from a can so I can't really say much about it. The vegetables were a bit oily and bland. The rice was Japanese rice and was nicely mixed with a sprinkle of furikake. Teriyaki chicken was not dry but not a bit on the bland side. We later noticed little plastic containers of sauce on pick up counter. You really need that sauce because that tasted more like teriyaki and dipping the chicken into it made it a WHOLE lot better. Portion size was smaller than I had expected considering the box was big.

Now, here's my thought. Tastewise, it was ok and I have nothing to complain about if I was in Central and ordered something like this for around $40. In Central, for this price and for this portion, I'd say it was value for money. But as this is Sham Shui Po, where just next door is a shop (that yes ... is a lot less hygenic) that is serving rice, meat and vegetables in a HUGE mountain high portion on a plate for $26, this isn't value for money. When I uttered this outloud to boyfriend, the old man sitting next to us nodded in agreement. And for that, my review is only an ok as it tasted ok but definitely not value for money. As there was no blooming onion as well, I will not be back.
