For veggie I wanted to try something different so we ordered Gracilaria in minced garlic (蒜茸龍鬚菜). The gracilaria has an interesting smooth texture and very luscious to the bite. Loved it.

The most disappointing dish was the prawns with fried rice vermicelli. The prawns were alright but the fried rice vermicelli was bland and fried in a thick batter. The sauce that came with it though packed with lobster essence it still failed to redeem it.

今天一家人外出食晚飯,見這間太子砵蘭街418號地鋪【聚興家】門口魚缸海鮮生猛,就决定在這吃,7點多入席,點了一條筍殻魚清蒸(市價),金牌祘香骨,油鹽水浸蜆,啫啫芥蘭煲。等了約10多分鍾金牌祘香骨上枱,熱辣辣香噴噴,都不錯,吃着吃着,清蒸筍殻魚上枱,好大衹碟,魚都算大條,魚蒸到剛剛好,清甜,肉嫩。跟著䔉香骨吃完,魚也吞哂,剩返兩個可以照鏡的碟,過了好一會,服務員過來收碟,我們也齊齊追其它兩個餸,跟着又過了好大一會,還是沒有菜送來,我們又追,一次又一次追單,無下文,服務員似啞的,完全無回應,已9點有多了,我們决定結帳,幾個服務員們望着我們也是一聲不亨,真無耐,衹講帳單$586元。菜就算再出色再好食,我們也不會再光顧

首先聲明作為一個在傳統客家家庭由細食媽咪 home make 自養大騸雞成長的我對鹽焗雞嘅挑剔程度來講,先撇除冰鮮雞肉本身的先天不足,個人覺得今次的鹽焗雞有三個問題、1)斬件嘅時候雞本身溫度太高或”返”熱(睇啲皮就知道)。。。、2)雞肉過熟,雖然咬落去肉質尚算能保持良好有汁,不過明顯有點過火,可以考慮試吓做到骨𥚃透紅效果會更好、3)不夠鹽、而且應該係用鹽水浸雞而並非係用傳統方法用粗鹽去慢慢焐熟(今肉味鮮度不足),100分最多只值50分。。。

很隨意地問了侍應今日例湯是什麼,覺得啱飲就點了,沒有問價錢。粉葛粉腸豬橫脷煲豬踭($398)有大大碟湯渣,一鍋湯只有8小碗。對比湯料及湯的份量,非常重料,豬踭肉又煲至非常淋滑,火喉十足;難怪味道鮮濃,係真真正正嘅老火靚湯,坊間其他酒樓的例湯完全無法比擬。埋單時望見手寫單才知道原來這鍋例湯索價 $398!雖然的確係足料老火湯、冇味精、好好味;但始終唔係燉湯、材料又普通,唔抵飲。原來例湯便宜的既定概念並不一定正確,下次要小心啲。

豉椒炒蟶子配煎米粉($412)係時價海鮮,以餐廳的級數來衡量都算貴。還好蟶子夠大隻,又炒得剛剛熟;鮮甜爽口彈牙,配豉椒夠惹味。雖然蟶子是主角,但煎米粉底也是另一亮點!米粉餅煎得香脆乾身,接近油炸口感,但咬落又有米粉煙靭,未去到全油炸的脆卜卜,配豉椒汁很好味,食完一塊又一塊。

紅燒乳鴿(每只)($68)比BB 鴿略大。鴿皮薄身,炸得香脆、又沒有過了火喉而變燶;鴿肉幼嫩多汁,浸泡滷水時間充足,味道濃郁。其實真係幾好食,難怪有不少食評讚好;但今次似乎失了水準,鴿翼明顯炸得過乾過了火喉,唯有只食鴿胸及鴿髀。

講味道,港式風味的麻辣水煮手切牛肉($198)當然不能同正宗四川麻辣水煮比較,紅油麻辣鍋底唔夠麻、亦唔夠辣,用料唔係四川風味。但也無可厚非,既然並非四川菜館,當然要迎合大眾香港人口味。手切牛肉就相當出色,牛味濃郁。雖然並非嫩滑肥牛、沒有什麼油花;但肉質鬆軟,勝在咀嚼下充滿肉味。下次再來會揀白妁金菇手切牛肉,吃牛肉原味、蘸豉油應該會更好食。

小菜價錢唔算很貴,只較其他同級街坊小館貴少許,以其連續五年攞到《米芝蓮車胎人推介》的名氣,即使並非摘星,也是合理市場策略;但海鮮的定價就偏高了,直逼高級海鮮酒家,以餐廳的裝修及服務來衡量,就覺得唔抵食。至於烹調水準方面,無可否認又的確相當不錯,部份很好味,但又未至於每一碟皆很出色。始終用餐環境實在差、很嘈吵,某程度影響用餐心情;相信老闆也清楚此乃弱點,免茶免加一。
