My son and I were looking for a quick meal and we noticed Le Cornet Belge. They have a menu with pictures on their main board, so my son wanted the chicken fillet burger combo. We asked not have any relish etc on the burger.  It came it with relish etc on the burger, so we asked them to make us one that we ordered without the relish etc.. (Not too hard you would expect!)They bought a burger back within 1 minute!  They had just scraped off the relish etc and sent it back out!!  There was still relish on the buns!We asked for new buns and finally 5 minutes later we received a burger. This is not the end of this problem...  I opened up the burger and noticed a brown flat round patty, not looking at all like the chicken fillet as advertised?  I asked "What is this patty"?  The staff told me it was chicken and I asked "Where is the chicken"?It was unedible, so we left only eating a few fries and a drink..... VERY POOR QUALITY FOOD!!!! continue reading

A friend and I decided to drop by Le Cornet Belge after they advertised on FB that they were giving out free fries on 27/4 @ 6PM onwards ('til they ran out).. The place is opposite "The Essential Spa".. It's on 63 Elgin Street. Not difficult to get there and if you're unfamiliar go on google maps.Anyway, upon arriving, we were told that they were handing out free fries, so we sat and had them. First of all, in terms of the interior, the place is small. It's like a sandwich/burger joint with high seats facing the interior counter top/cooking station. For a small place, there were a lot of staff (5-6 in total, including the managers if I'm not mistaken).. As for the food, unfortunately, I can only comment on the fries - which was good. If, you're like me, who likes thick and 'not too soft' fries, you will enjoy. The fries were served in this really cute triangular cone with a sauce dip attached on the side. We were given a white sauce/dip which I think was mayo? We noticed that on the counter however there were a bunch of other sauces/dips (around 4-6).. My friend decided to ask if we could try their other dips. He wanted something spicy so we were given a dark brown sauce which was a bit spicy. It was better than the mayo sauce. So if you are to come here, they most probably won't ask you what sauce you want and will probably give you the default mayo sauce, so ask for their other dips yourself. It was too bad that there were not a lot of people who came despite the post getting more than 500 likes on FB.. However, since we were there at 6:30PM I figured most people were not even off work yet.. By the time we left (8ish, there were a few more guys who came in). I would most likely come back to try their sandwiches and/or burger box.PS: In total, we only spent $90 for 3 bottles of beer.  continue reading

I was really excited with this new place because of the Belgian snacks, fries and there was a good choice of sauces.Improvements:Staff should ask what sauce the customer wants because I was not asked and I thought it was self service but it was not. The Friccadelle and Mexicano were too salty but according to a Belgian, he said that they should not be that salty. The fries were a disappointment because you can get these fries anywhere. The sauces could have saved the day but as they didn't ask which sauce I wanted, they just gave me ketchup by default!◎ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ◎The bill: $91Service: could be betterNapkins provided: yesEnglish Menu: Yes◎ⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓢⓤⓟⓔⓡⓖⓘⓡⓛ◎ continue reading
