Le Pain Quotidien (Closed)

Organic and almost no condiments. It always feel like I’m “camping” whenever I eat here (grab a bunch of ingredients, cut them and done). Everything is simple, rustic, room temperature and... you just don’t need to think much of the taste. Just eat and space out.Not exactly cheap but you can spread as much jam and honey as you like to get your money worth. I especially like the chunky fig jam. Baked goods here are wonderful. Scones and croissants.

週日想找個地方吃Brunch，朋友就帶我來到這間比利時餐廳。裝修頗有外國咖啡店的風格，感覺很悠閒，可以坐一個下午慢慢hea。蘑菇湯，看上去平平無奇，呷一口，眉毛即時向上一揚，不禁讚嘆一聲：好菇呀！湯並非攪得很滑而是留有少少菇的質感，讓人一口接一口，停不下來！隨湯附上的麵包也很好吃。肉醬 Chilli 好惹味！加薯角或麵包吃，讓人回味無窮！今天特別想吃湯，於是又點了個洋蔥湯，洋蔥配上湯面的芝士，好香好軟好入味！還有green salad refresh一下味蕾。最後來杯由杏仁奶latte，很完美的週日brunch 😌

返工好忙，有時想速食，買個飯盒速食，真係覺得有啲唔環保，但都冇辦法。今日就去食清清地嘅LPQ，嗌左個 avocado toast，盛惠一百蚊。個賣相還可以，健康之選，但講真真係唔值呢個價錢，佢啲包硬掘掘，咬到我啲牙都軟埋，同埋去到佢間餐廳其實都有晒 recipe ，知道其實整呢個 avocado toast 都真係好容易，都係滴啲檸檬汁去啲 mashed 左既 avocado 度，最後加上 red pepper flakes，咁就索價一舊水，不過圓方搵食艱難，差不多吧⋯⋯

看完畫展剛好食飯時間，就在太古廣場覓食看見LE Pain 的環境幾愜意就決定進入一試，waitress 都不是local ，我們點了一個tuscan platte&cappuccino 、茉莉綠茶，茉莉茶是他們自家茶包味道特別香，拼盤讓你可以一次過試四種ham，食物分量屬於輕食量，胃口大的就要考慮考慮咯。

真係唔知乜嘢玩法,呢度鍾意用湯碗嚟上飲品, 好似熱朱古力咁就上一大碗熱鮮奶畀你然後再自己加朱古力醬,好似玩煮飯仔咁。整體嚟講如果係食肉獸同鐘意食多啲熱盤的朋友,就唔係咁適合呢呢度.但就好適合食開 raw food的人士, 好多種類都可以選擇, 材料亦好新鮮。 仲有呢間舖頭奇就奇在 淨係得外國人入去食 我去過灣仔同太古廣場兩間都係咁 可能亞洲人比較喜歡食多一的熱盤食物。服務員大部分都唔係local同冇咩笑容,你叫乜佢寫乜,唔會話特別推介或講解食物detail, 冇話特別優質服務。

The food wasn't bad, but it was definitely overpriced, even for the area. I ordered the papaya salad ($112) and my friend ordered the pesto chicken ($170), followed by a tiramisu ($55) which we shared. I come here every now and then because it's close to my work place. The food is decent and decor and location is comfy. Service used to be terrible, but ever since they had a new manager it has been so much better! Still a cute place that I like to go every now and then

The quality of service at the restaurant was far from compensating the unpalatable food. A manager, with short hair and black glasses, middle age. He was rather rude and looked demonstratively bored. It seemed like by serving my table he was doing me a favour. We ordered 3 mains and 3 drinks. My food didn’t come and I checked with one of the waitresses. Breakfast on Sundays has always been a difficult thing to manage as shop and restaurants usually won't open that early on Sundays. Hoping to have a nice western breakfast I went to Pacific Place hoping to be able to find something nice and interesting. Was told that le pain offers a healthy option for breakfast so I was there at 9:30am. It is out of my expectation that the place is actually 60% full at this time of the day. 和朋友晚上要去大會堂看音樂會就近近的在pp吃，隔壁的泰餐大排長龍我們就來隔壁的le pain吃了。露天cafe裝修可是在室內廣場這點真是香港獨有（笑）到處都是organic的標誌我是剛好捕捉到他挖鼻子的瞬刻嗎？（遠目）朋友和我都好喜歡這個hummus dish，特別一讚是西芹好新鮮！左至右：beet juice hummus, smush eggplant + pomegranate, avocado dip,都很好吃，擺盤漂亮。spanish omlette也不錯，蛋酥酥的好吃chicken wateroori（？），薯仔讚，sauce好吃，不過雞肉好粗，可以滑一點就好。紅髮白人侍應姐姐好評，很熱心解答問題，和我說她是素食者，熱心介紹（可是我轉頭就點了雞😅）侍應都很好人，很熱心，服務滿分。

Walked in for dinner at 9pm despite seeing staffs cleaning the floor already as if the restaurant is getting ready to close. Ordered beef chili with bread and melted cheese fries and everything tasted it's been thrown into the microwave. Bread tasted stale. Really wanted to like it as the food tasted fresh when I came here for lunch months ago. Also had good experience in london. Not sure if it's the time of the day or the quality has gone down. Disappointed

Not feel like having a big dinner after work and just wanted a relaxing restaurant for dinner. Have passed by this restaurant many times during lunch time, is usually quite busy. But quite a lot of seats here in the evening and saw few people having happy hour and drinking here. The environment is quite relaxing, tables aren't pack (hard to find in hk....) We planned to go Thai Basil but it's fully booked, saw a restaurant next to it while queueing and can go in without waiting (then we understand that queuing is for better quality). Most of the food serving are mainly toast, sandwiches or salad. We ordered a hot dish, soup, mushroom cheese toast and a veggie smoothie. I've eaten at LPQ in other parts of the world and it generally offers good quality food at reasonable prices. Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised--but as is often the case, they have raised prices and reduced quality in HK. Bread is lackluster, salad seems less than fresh, salmon was obviously frozen, and it's far from cheap. Another disappointing, overpriced, corporate chain restaurant in HK.

一直唔寫食評，只放相片，不過今次中伏真係覺得好離譜！本來見佢好似係間cafe 餐廳，假日PP 其他地方都冇位，入去飲杯flat white，一上枱我以為係碗mushroom soup, 問仕應，答案係係咁架，我地冇杯既😰，以為咁好型？但叫人點飲😡，樣衰都算，完全冇咖啡味，可以整到咁，真係高難度！從未飲過咁求其咁難飲既咖啡！咁既質素，連加一要$50 杯！非常中伏不愉快既coffee experience! 簡直恐怖😖😖😖
