In Hong Kong, there are many places where you can get a take away cup of tea/coffee/smoothie. Most of them are usually big chains. Places like Gong Cha or Share Tea. But Maison is small with only two branches. One in Yuen Long (a bit far for me!) and another one in Central. Right next to the bit elevator. After eating a lot of fries at La Vache, I needed to get a drink! So, we tried this place. After eating a lot of fries at La Vache, I needed to get a drink! So, we tried this place. Small, yet colorful, they sold various drinks like coffee and blended teas along with smoothies. The staff was very friendly and eagerly explained to us what they were about. Small businesses always have such passion! Names of the drinks are in English but the descriptions of the drinks are in Chinese only. As it's take away, there is no 10% service charge.
Sangria Splash ($39). I ordered this. A tea based drink that mimics the taste of sangria. It was both fruity yet rich. I liked it as it was refreshing. Skinny Monkey ($46). Boyfriend chose this. An ice blended drink that tasted like a peanut butter waffle that you find on the streets of Hong Kong. Very peanut buttery. Smooth yet not overly icy as well. Pretty good drinks with lots of options. Many different combinations and some I never heard of. A good place other than the usual and not overly expensive, too. I will be back.
