My wife and I went there for a Sunday lunch. Here is what we ordered:Vegan spread with pita bread: this dish came with 2 spreads, 1 was tomato/chili based and the other was eggplant based. My wife and I went there for a Sunday lunch. Here is what we ordered:

Vegan spread with pita bread: this dish came with 2 spreads, 1 was tomato/chili based and the other was eggplant based. This dish was tasty but portion was quite small for a HK$75 dish.

Fish curry: this was tasty and curry was good and not oily at all. The curry gravy was not heavy but had good amount of flavour.. The portion size of the fish was a bit small, good for someone with small apetite.  

Goat curry: again this was a tasty dish and not too oily. It was a heavier dish than the fish curry so more filling. 

The service was very slow. Our appetizer took more than 30 minutes to arrive and we waited for about 80 minutes (from seating) for the mains. However, the restaurant explained they were short staffed that day so I'm not sure if service would normally be much faster. Overall, the food was good although portions tended to be on small side, but the main letdown was the very slow service.

Had a craving for rice and peas so went to Mandy's for a quick fix.The rice was soft and fluffy with so much fragrant Thyme and starchy Kidney beans.The rice is tasty on its own or best with Mandy's curry or Jerk chicken.

There is Turkey on the menu and a very special turkey because it is Jerk Turkey served with roast potatoes!!!!

Anyway, the dessert I had was the Trinidadian Black Rum and Fruit cake dessert which is served with hot berry sauce and ice cream.
The fruit in it is fermented for 3 months in rum and sherry.

You can buy the cakes or you can dine there.

There are several sizes for takeaway which are nicely wrapped up:
2lb $250, 1lb $150, and 1/2lb $80.

Normally it is served with icecream but I requested for cream because I didn't want the sweetness of the icecream to overpower anything.

Before trying the cake, I tried the hot berry sauce which I thought was hot in temperature but it was hot as in spicy hot.
It was not too fiery but it gave a nice kick to the cake while the cream toned it down.

The cake itself was firm and moist with a strong rum taste and you've just got to dine there because the cream and hot berry sauce are the best compliments.

This dish was divine because the chicken was amazingly soft and juicy and the taste was complex because it was sweet, sour and fiery.
The carnival salad was just like a colourful carnival because it had carrots and purple cabbage which made it vibrant.
For the rice and peas I was looking for the peas but peas actually means beans in Caribbean style food.
Anyway, the rice was heaven because there was so much Thyme in it which made it really fragrant.

The curry goat was quite bony but the curry was addictive because there was thyme, cumin and fiery scotch bonnet peppers that made it appetizing.

I can't wait to come back again for the Jerk chicken, goat curry and new dishes but Sai Kung town has major transportation problems.
