Mia is always fully booked. Tried their dinner menu once several months ago with positive comments. My hubby and I take a day off to relax. So I quickly think about Mia. 1:40 pm, received a reminder call from Mia to confirm the booking. My first reaction is, WOW. It's only a weekday lunch. That gives me confidence that it is gonna be a good meal.

With expectation, we arrived at 1:55 pm. This place is full. People from the 2nd round are still sitting with their drinks. Finally got in after waiting for 20 min. We are quite hungry so quickly order 2 lunch sets.

1. Salami Pizza with potato salad. Salad is served in a glass cup. There are only 2 pc of potato at the bottom and very little veggie. Good but no enough. About the pizza, this is a half size (8') pizza. I think it is little too small for a guy. For me, it is ok. It is quite crispy. But little too thick if compared to the ones in Italy
. Could be better with more tomato sauce.

2. Linguine with chicken fillet and broccoli. Sorry, I have to give it a
! First, the pasta is soft, no, too soft!!! It can't be like that. It's way over cooked. Second, the sauce. I am almost
when I see the "white sauce" on my pasta. For real, it looks and tastes like 雞王義粉 that the local cafes offer. It shouldn't be found in a real Trattoria! Not acceptable at all.

We are so sure that we are not coming back again..... And, I have to give my first
review.

早早聽聞美孚開了間意菜店,同事講過味道不錯,所以與同事的farewell lunch亦都特登從葵涌到美孚食!店子真的很細,全場只得十四位,我們亦都佔了八位,所以如果要幫趁一定記得訂位!食物方面order了沙律同pizza大家一起share,另外每人就order一客set lunch,set lunch包括金筍薑湯,很少見的combination,味道不錯,亦有淡淡薑味,而我的lunch是鮮什菌意粉,意粉軟硬度不俗,配上鮮什菌,味道很好!加錢可再有一客甜品,是日的芒果奶凍一流,本身吃得飽飽的再加個奶凍仍然能夠KOShare 的Parma Ham Salad同pizza同樣出色,pizza熱辣辣材料很富豐,吃完很想再encore!Parma Ham Salad 蔬菜很新鮮配上Ham的咸香味,一絕!

We ordered a dish of shrimps in chili sauce and a ‘mini’ pizza. I’m not a shrimps favor but I must admit that this dish of shrimps in chili sauce tastes really good! A bit oily though, the sauce tastes really strong and you can’t stop craving for the next one to be put in your mouth. The pizza is actually quite big, not as ‘mini’ as I expected. The staff here is so nice and thoughtful that she offered us a plastic box for taking away the reminding pizza.

It’s a little bit pricey though (base on its location), overall we had a nice dining experience here. The quality of food really cannot be under-estimated here.

意大利飯煮得實在非常煙韌,配合巴馬臣芝士汁後簡直天衣無縫,配料亦份量十足,除鮮蝦、魚、帶子等等之外,還有意大利青瓜、雜菌等作配襯,倘若再加少許魷魚和露筍,相信會更加味美。想不到小小意店,竟能煮出如此水準,實屬難得。

另一款主菜意大利辣肉腸薄餅也不比之前的意大利飯遜色,薄餅的皮非常鬆脆,面層一層薄薄的辣肉腸。辣肉腸緊緊的被芝士醬包住,入口即溶,味道實在令人回味。

總括而言
用餐當日,就連識飲識食的「栢高」也試圖來作座上客,但同樣因為未有訂座,最終被拒之門外。

整體來說,Mia Pasta Trattoria 店子雖小,但出品一點也不馬虎,相反製作和用料都十分講究,足以證明廚師對製作食物的熱誠和執著,就憑這點食神必定推介。

we still waited a bit when we return at around 8:25-8:30 because we have to wait for the customers to leave the table first before we can have our table.
we ordered the signature risotto, seafood angel hair in minestrone soup, and a dinner set which was prawns linguine in lobster cream sauce.
the dinner set comes with the soup of daily, which is something like a carrot soup.

the risotto's really good. the creamy texture of the risotto is just perfect. there are some mushrooms and spinach in the risotto as well, and the red meat on top is some kind of italian sausage i suppose.

this is my absolute favorite dish. to my delight, the prawns tasted pretty fresh. there are also some mushroom and spinach in it as well. the pasta was cooked to al dente. the sauce did really has the aromatic, flavorsome lobster taste and the consistency and creamy texture are just completely flawless.

i was pretty impressive with the seafood. there were mainly scallop, fish fillet, prawns, and clams. the scallop, fish fillet, and prawns were all very aromatic, and they were all pretty fresh. this may not be the most memorable dish, but it's pretty okay, absolutely not bad.
lastly, there's a drink included for the dinner set. i had a cup of milk tea then.

we all couldn't keep our eyes off the little wooden tray at first, because it does look pretty nice. back to the tea, it's aromatic, and the hint of tea leaves is strong enough, at least it isn't tasteless.
we all loved this place. it's a pity that it's just a small restaurant. i would surely come again when i come over to mei foo for my friend, and we will remember to book a table in advance next time ;)

清明節要回公司做半日holiday back-up,因不甘大好假日就此斷送,所以收工後約了老公近近地食頓好的,而去的就是上次閒逛美孚時看中的Mia Pasta Trattoria。 位處美孚新村二期平台上,這間意粉小店地方非常細小,全場約得15-16個位,好在一早訂了位。值得注意是,這裡的午市分為12:00-1:00、1:00至2:00,以及2:00-3:00三段時間,食客就算1:30才來到,也要2:00準時還檯。雖然如此,小店仍然全場爆滿,還遇到不少想walk-in的客人吃白果,所以訂位真是必需的。 是日就同老公就坐店內角落,分享兩份午餐,額外又加點沙律、餐湯及甜品各一份。先試蕃茄湯(凡惠顧午餐+$12),味道濃郁十分足料,然而酸度稍嫌太高,口味不算清新自然,如配上麵包同吃或會好一點;其實也看到鄰桌的烘多士芝士滿佈、賣相超吸引,可惜想點時已缺貨,心動也沒辨法了。然後是加點的田園沙律(也是午餐+$12),如圖可見配料包括車厘茄、小黃瓜、蘑菇片及生菜,內容算是相當豐富;而每片沙律菜又平均沾上油醋汁,味道幾清新開胃的。之後來到主菜之一的雞柳煙肉西蘭花炒扁意粉($56),只看其繽紛多采的賣相

位處美孚新村二期平台上,這間意粉小店地方非常細小,全場約得15-16個位,好在一早訂了位。值得注意是,這裡的午市分為12:00-1:00、1:00至2:00,以及2:00-3:00三段時間,食客就算1:30才來到,也要2:00準時還檯。雖然如此,小店仍然全場爆滿,還遇到不少想walk-in的客人吃白果,所以訂位真是必需的。
 
是日就同老公就坐店內角落,分享兩份午餐,額外又加點沙律、餐湯及甜品各一份。先試
蕃茄湯(凡惠顧午餐+$12),味道濃郁十分足料,然而酸度稍嫌太高,口味不算清新自然,如配上麵包同吃或會好一點;其實也看到鄰桌的烘多士芝士滿佈、賣相超吸引,可惜想點時已缺貨,心動也沒辨法了。

然後是加點的
田園沙律(也是午餐+$12),如圖可見配料包括車厘茄、小黃瓜、蘑菇片及生菜,內容算是相當豐富;而每片沙律菜又平均沾上油醋汁,味道幾清新開胃的。

之後來到主菜之一的
雞柳煙肉西蘭花炒扁意粉($56),只看其繽紛多采的賣相已深受吸引,撲鼻而來的香氣更是誘人,我不客氣啦!

一試之下,雖然意粉稍為軟身了點,但勝在每條都掛滿creamy香滑的豐厚忌廉汁,其中的脆煙肉粒有助突出香味;另外意粉中的蘑菇軟滑、西蘭花爽嫩入味、煙肉條與雞肉柳又再次豐富整體口味,我都老公都吃得很滿意,一整碟意粉不消5分鐘,就全數清光了!

鮮蝦帶子意大利飯配巴馬芝士汁($62)也上場了,其陣容、賣相與香氣又是無比吸引,令人怦然心動!

先由帶子試起,稍經煎過的帶子除了鮮美,又有一份香口感,不錯;所用的大蝦亦十分鮮爽彈牙,很美味;然而最重要就是主角意大利飯,口感適中軟硬有致,每口都滿佈濃郁的巴馬芝士味,而飯中又巧妙混上較清新的翠玉瓜及蘑菇以作平衡,又是很款美味的出品,結果又是10分鐘內全數清光!

雖然已經很飽足,然而也沒有放開加點
芒果panna cotta(午餐+$15)的福利。這份奶凍質感特別軟滑,說是牛乳布甸亦無不可;而除了面層的芒果肉粒,奶凍中間亦釀滿大量香甜芒果粒,足料得來十分香滑美味,為美好的一餐,畫上完美的句號!

這裡午市不收加一,這頓埋單只$159,連上tips也是超級抵食,為假日下午帶來美好的心情。有機會的話,一定還會再重訪這小店,再試更多不同的pasta,以及完成多士心願!

意粉是乾抄,可以加少少辣就更佳,蜆很新鮮

原本想食甜品,不過真是太飽,唯有下次再試

The typical layering of flavors in the risotto grains created by the traditional cooking method (i.e, in sequence, fat, wine, stock, cheese) is however absent in palate. Maybe that's due to the use of squid ink? I'm not sure. The two pieces of ham overlying the risotto, IMHO is not only unnecessary but redundant. The cost should be thrown into the seaf

Eight-thirty.

Salad. Fairly fresh vegetable on a light balsamic dressing. Reasonably executed. No complaints.

Risotto with squid ink. The typical layering of flavors in the risotto grains created by the traditional cooking method (i.e, in sequence, fat, wine, stock, cheese) is however absent in palate. Maybe that's due to the use of squid ink? I'm not sure. The two pieces of ham overlying the risotto, IMHO is not only unnecessary but redundant. The cost should be thrown into the seafood cooking the rice.

Pretty nice selection of food in a small shop.
Would visit again - place/price is reasonably matched, one is not going to get better food in TST with the same price (not to mention the $100 taxi fare round-trip going to mong kok/TST)

hints/tips:
The pasta here is better than the risotto. Cream sauce and tomato sauce approximately on par. Panna cotta definitely NOT correctly prepared - too much gelatin.

怕中午會很爆,特意先訂位。找了一回才找到,真的很細,坐一回就full house!午餐牌很簡單,ABCD主菜+咖啡/茶點菜如下: 頭盤: 沙律 (加$12) 很新鮮的沙律 ,有磨菇及車厘茄,很清新。 主菜: Scallop & Prawn Risotto份量不算大,用料新鮮,有野菌混了少許青菜,保留了帶子和蝦的鮮味,忌廉汁剛好,絕對不會有「漏」的感覺,非常有水準,有下次想吃的感覺。 甜品:Tiramisu (加$30) 甜道剛好夠滑,好好味令人想食多一杯! 咖啡:好香咖啡味,難得的是奶是熱的。只能說,真的一試難忘,會推介予友人。
