蕃茄忌廉湯:顏色很討好,也很creamy,帶甜多於酸
沙律 :很新鮮的沙律菜 ,拼了點磨菇及車厘茄,不 吝惜橄欖油及醋,很清新
不理想:湯先來,等了差不多5分鍾才上沙律,我們要等齊才可吃頭盤
麵包:有蒜茸包(加$15)或芝士包(加$20)
不理想: 雖然頭盤要附加費 ,但都不跟麵包!!
還有,頭盤來 了才問我們要不要加麵包, 變成吃完頭盤麵包才到!!$15才二片,好像貴了點。
主菜:
野菌雞柳天使麵($56):用上很多野菌雞柳,混了少許青菜,野菌沒有炒得過熟,保留了鮮味,麵也是煮得剛好,忌廉汁很濃但味道稍淡
龍脷柳帶子意大利飯($62):煮飯的湯應很淡,飯本身欠味道,全靠芝士忌廉汁的味道,有些美中不足,飯有"趙頭",中規中矩啦。

咖啡:賣相漂亮,但很濃,難得的是奶瓶是熱的
凍檸檬茶:西餐廳居然凍飲加$2,不是茶餐廳呀!

咁樣加下加下,都唔平,又要搭車嚟,只可放在后備名單

先來個餐湯-我那一天的 Soup of the Day 是南瓜湯。因這也是我們的至愛西湯,我們並沒有選擇要沙律。
溫度適中,不會過熱(我對熱非常敏感),但喝到最尾仍然非常溫暖。
味道和濃郁度也控制得非常好,絕對不會有「漏」的感覺,只覺得湯很好味,很鮮甜。
光喝這個湯已經弄得我倆非常開心了。


然後來主菜。男朋友的意粉我只吃了一兩口,不能評論得太多,只能說-那意粉非常新鮮、爽口彈牙,汁很有水準,因此就連我吃的淨意粉也 VERY GOOD。

我的主菜則是我最愛吃的 Risotto;在英國時通常都是會點 Seafood Risotto or Risotto Al Funghi(蘑菇+spinach),試過拼雞的不好吃。由於很多人都說香港沒有好的義大利飯,我就是要找出來~~!

吃下我的第一口飯的時候,感覺「非常美味」,汁料有濃郁的芝士味,拼上很鮮味的我不知道是甚麼的料子,加起來變得非常可口,並不會「漏」,汁料的thickness也剛剛好,非常正宗有水準。可惜,它用上的飯並不是正宗義大利飯會用的 long grain rice 飯粒,口感有點在吃屋企飯的,沒有義大利飯的「煙un」。男朋友說,「也要遷就一下香港人的口味嘛,用義大利米的話別人會吃不慣。」可能是吧。

但是,配料的帶子、蝦和龍利柳真的很讚很讚!!非常鮮甜有味。啊,這個 Risotto 有著非常有水準的汁和配料真的太棒了!雖然沒有我很愛吃的義大利飯粒,但這道菜絕對是非常有水準,滿分!

然後來 Tiramisu,我不太懂評啦,因為平常我都不會吃(覺得太苦太漏);只能說這個 Tiramisu 真的令我吃得很高興啦。

Cappuccino 咖啡味非常恰到好處,我沒有落糖,更覺它味道可口。

也有一點兒挑剔的是應該是要全部一拼上菜,並不是有甚麼準備好了就拿出來。如果這點兒有改進那麼就可稱是高水平的意菜餐廳了。

常有食友說菜比較細份。的確是「亞洲人版本」,大概是我在英國吃到的三分之二左有的 size。但只要你享受義大利人的文化,慢慢一口一口的吃,你就會發覺份量是足夠的。還有嘛,太大碟會有機會出現「滯」或者「漏」或者浪費美食的情況。男友和我(我比他還要大食的)覺得這個 portion 剛剛好。

也請其他有興趣的朋友,booking 只 hold 5 分鐘,而且晚餐限時一小時。但由於我們去的那天是星期四,並沒有太多人,只有一轉半左右,所以我們吃(加聊天)了兩小時也沒有問題。如果想吃慢點的朋友,閒日去是好選擇~

這次我選擇的交通方法就是到美孚地鐵站 A 出口,轉右上樓梯再轉右直行,中國銀行過一個舖位就到了。

只能說,真的一試難忘,會推介予友人。

I have never had a sit-down meal at this little restaurant since it is always full of people, so my comments are merely based on what I get from takeaway experiences at this place. Mia can be easily missed especially if you are not a local resident of Mei Foo. Its unobtrusive yet exotic exterior does not necessarily stand out from the myriad of shops on the podium. My personal favourite is the seafood risotto. It is creamy, yet it does not dominating to the point where it tastes like seafood chowder - it leaves enough taste to linger on your tongue and in your mouth. Some discerning eaters may find it a bit too mushy for their liking, but I think it's fine - maybe because I like my risotto a little bit mushy. The 瓜類植物 makes an interesting contrast with the risotto.

Pizza wise, this is nothing like the ones you get at chain outlets. It has a very thin dough base along with a thin but wide crust. I personally hate the crusts from pizzas at chain outlets, but I was very happy in munching on the crusts because it was very crispy, although some may complain about the lack of cheese as topping. Again, this is a matter of personal preference.

I also love their Italian coffee. It's a different ball park from the flat whites I'm used to having, but sometimes just a simple coffee that smells nice is all that is required to make it stick in someone's mind.

Their takeaway packaging is an elegant matter. All the foods and drinks are tucked into white paper bags, containing plastic microwavable boxes and bowls that can essentially be reused. The beverages unfortunately cannot be reused and are generally housed in lidded takeaway coffee cups. They don't shy away from packaging just because you don't sit at their restaurant to eat.

All in all, a generally pleasant takeaway experience from this little joint in Mei Foo.

星期6 男友接我放工, 我之前上網找了這一間一起吃lunch這間餐廳, 原來是在2期平台, 即從停車場上一層別小看是美孚區小店, 這裡的環境, 食物都做出水準我們叫了2個 lunch set一個是意大利飯, 一個是pizza意大利飯味道很好, 可是份量略嫌小, 男仔會覺得不夠吧另 pizza 跟餐的一個薯仔沙律, 那個醋很酸, 不是很多人能接受吧, 希望之後能在這2個地方改善一下就更好了

if you sit on the bar stool on the right side of the shop, please beware that wind will keep blowing at you the whole time. It's because the sliding door of the shop can't be fully closed and wind just come in from the gap. Good for ventilation but not good for those who sit near the door.To be fair, food quality is good, price is so so

A best friend of mine told me that there was a new pasta house opened around Mei Fu and there was a chef there who worked in Peninsula before... and a very famous star agent was there twice as appreciated the food there. So, why not give it a try? Haha


My friend booked a table for 4 @730pm... we arrived there around 15 minutes earlier and took no rush for being seated... we understood the place was small with limited seats... people did need quality time to enjoy quality food. So, we waited about 10 minutes then got seated... Me and my <(^@@^)>... my friend and his wife...

DURING

I didn't take much time on the menu as I wanna have my friends decide what to eat... So, I asked my <(^@@^)> what she wanna have and she said... pasta with tomato... Mmmm... quite simple request and I liked that.

Anyways, we finally ordered the following things... I didn't have the CORRECT name of each dish as I was relaxed and worry free about the menu... hehe


CREAM OF CORN SOUP

Nice soup... could taste the sweetness of corn as I believe the chef might have blended the corns and therefore release the core flavour of corns... WELL DONE!!


BAKED CHEESE BREAD SIDED WITH MARINATED DICED TOMATO

Fresh and perfectly golden browned for the cheese bread... most important was that they were just out from the oven!!
I rather to have these than free plain bread slices... nice combination with the marinated diced tomato... perfect as a starter!!


CLAMS IN CREAMY WINE SAUCE

Two thumbs up!! Fresh and not fishy at all... cooked just rite... the taste of clams was blossom and the creamy wine sauce was the leaves... each of them fitted their characters perfectly. Actually, I stole the only piece of bread on the dish for wipping the leftover sauce,,, haha


SPAGHETTI WITH (CHICKEN...?? FORGOT... SORRY...
) IN FRESH BASIL TOMATO SAUCE


I am a BIG BIG BIG... FAN of basil... The aroma of basil is the perfect match with tomato!!
So, scored high of this dish... but seriously... the chef might alter a little bit for Hong Kong style... the sauce could be more stronger in flavour of herbs and the pasta was well done instead of al dente...

RISOTTO WITH CRAB MEAT AND SEARED SCALLOP IN PARMASAN CHEESE SAUCE

After a bite of the scallop... I told my friend that if the scallop I had at PETRUS scored 10 as perfect... this one would be 7.5... which was pretty high for a small restaurant.
There was plenty of crab meat and again... slightly Hong Kong style again... could be more creamy ... al dente... and stronger cheese flavour... but still nice dish!!


CARBONARA

This was the the dish I was afraid to eat when I was a chef... because it was SO FAT... if you made it the most yummy way... hehe
Lucky that the chef here in MIA was using the HEATHLY way to cook it... I could tell by some small details... hehe
My only suggestion to this dish... with no offense... it would turn out quite watery once the egg yolk was mixed with the sauce and this part had to be considered... Add oil!!


DESSERT (FRESH STRAWBERRY PARFAIT AND TIRAMISU)

I am not a BIG FAN of dessert... but I have to say IMPRESSIVE!! Smooth... rich... just the rite sweetness... Applause!!


We wrapped up the dinner with hot tea with lemon slices and hot coffee... Satisfied!!


AFTER

I have to admit that I was slightly harsh on this review since that exactly what I cooked years ago... and I was quite good on that... haha...
However, the dishes scored quite high even with my high expectation... the alteration for Hong Kong style thoughts... were all only my personal opinions with no offense... As long as they were delicious... who cares!! Rite? Haha

由於客人少少 (只有三PAIR客人), 服務可以說是沒有挑剔的餘地。一杯特飲 (橙雜), 外加一張自製的Menu, 令寒夜倍加溫暖。頭盤的煙三文魚新鮮可口, 增添不少食慾。地中海海鮮湯香濃美味, 海鮮等配料絕不欺場, 加上香脆可口的蒜蓉包, 頓時感覺自己的選擇錯不了。

主菜之一的燒鴨胸肉質鮮嫩, 吃下去一點也不「韌」, 配以南瓜蓉的味道很夾。另一主菜澳洲海鱸魚蟹肉意大利飯, 魚煎得香口, 但並沒有失去肉身的汁液。想不到這兩個主菜比想像中要飽肚得多!

個人最喜歡當晚的朱古力梳乎厘。記憶以前嚐過的梳乎厘, 也是上桌後不出五分鐘便迅速「縮水」, 賣相沒了以外, 吃下去後感覺沒吃過甚麼。但Mia的梳乎厘便不同了! 沒有縮水之餘, 亦很有朱古力味, 配合自行添加的朱古力醬, 絕對適合當晚寒冷的節日氣氛。

這是一頓超乎想像中美味和飽足的聖誕餐。喜歡人少少吃中價又美味的西餐, Mia絕對是不二之選。

美孚平台很少開設這種意大利餐廳 , 格局雖少但食物品質不錯, 但因為座位有限, 當天我4點BOOK 枱已經說FULL BOOKING , 好彩我說一人個用餐還可以早點用餐, 所以才給我臨時插隊, 我準時6:30PM 去到都已經坐滿客人了, 所以吃晚餐我就建議要先訂位, 否則walk in 機會係 "0"餐牌選擇有限, 可能是屬於貴精不貴多, 這也可以理解, 整間餐廳只得13個座位(其中3個位響Bar 枱, 廚師侍應連老闆卻有6人之多 , 因為是第一輪個個同一時間都落ORDER, 所以晚餐上菜速度會較慢, 所以必須要耐心等待, 幸好服務態度亦不錯, 不時都會為我加水。當天晚餐有4款 , 由98-128不等 , 亦有其他單點食物可以選擇 餐湯 或 沙律 我選了加25元的野菌忌廉湯湯沒有太Creamy 感覺, 但看得出下了很多真材實料 , 有很濃烈的香味 , 值得一試 另加20 有意式蕃茄多士這個將法飽連芝士一起焗 , 吃去來很香口, 加上有酸汁的新鮮蕃茄, 很好味道 主菜 要了蟹肉帶小意大利飯配芝士忌廉汁份量不算大, 用料新鮮 , 但這個卻沒有下次想吃的感覺, 可能香味不引吸引我吧

總括來說 , 我下次會吃個午餐試一試出名的Carbonara
如果唔加其他食品128+10%就可以, 改湯 加多士 又加甜品再加一 就要223元 , 比外面的便宜了一點, 所以是值得推介的
