To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Been to the Causeway Bay joint couple months ago and love their food. Excited when I found out they are opening one in Happy Valley. Due to Covid, I haven’t been dining out lately but I’ve ordered take out and delivery from this place multiple times. Their breakfast, baked rice and most of the food on menu are good and I love how they reheat the buns for you if you buy on spot. The waiting time for take out can be long during breakfast time. Like the other more main stream cha chan tengs, the decor is more polished. They have a lot of staff. The front is a small bakery area from their bakery chain. Baked goods looked really beautiful and fresh.

Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. You order by scanning a QR code which is in English and Chinese. It's very smooth and I found no problems figuring it out. You pay on your way out. Breakfast sets all come with a hot drink with possible upgrades.

I got my favourite item from this group: the ice lemon tea. It was in a large glass. Why is it my favourite? Because instead of lemon slices, you get actual fresh lemon juice squeezed into the tea so you really are drinking a lemon tea.

For  breakfast I had a scrambled egg with cutlet fish fillet with corn and garlic butter on toast ($46). The corn was sweet and lightly grilled. The fish fillet was  bit thin but was crispy and not over cooked. The toast could have used a bit more butter. And the egg was creamy with a taste of the milk added to it. I was quite satisfied with it.

Service was very nice and food came out promptly.  Perhaps due to this place run by a large restaurant group, everything went a lot more smoothy.  Boyfriend noted they offer more items here than the Causeway Bay branch. He also noted the portion size was a bit smaller as well. But it's still a welcome addition to my neighbourhood and I'll definitely be back.
