Located in Hysan Place where Le Salon Restaurant et Croissanterie used to be. From the same restaurant group, Drawing Room Concepts, a new, more casual eating establishment arrives. Basically, they didn't bother to change much of the decor as the tables, chairs, the entire place is exactly the same except they ripped down the walls to give an open setting, threw around some cute cushions on the seats, made all the wait staff wear black jeans and white t-shirts and play J-pop in the background. This to give a more "casual" feel as opposed to before. To me, it felt a bit lazy for Dining Room Concepts to not put a bit more thought in redesigning their new restaurant.

When I got there, I was not greeted by anyone to get me a table. After I waited a while, I just walked into the restaurant and finally bumped into someone who got me a table. Other than that little bump, service was fine enough.

I was given the lunch menu with a note from the waitress that the soup of the day is cream of pumpkin and catch of the day was sea bass. The lunch menu is basically $118 for a main entree. That's basically it so not a cheap value meal. You add $38 for drink and salad or soup. $38 extra for dessert which is tiramisu which they use Kahula. Menu, it appears, hadn't changed from the first person who wrote a review of this place. I would have loved a pasta but one was Bolognese and I most likely will have this later tonight. The other was carbonara with white truffle oil and truffle paste which I steer clear of as I completely agree with Gordon Ramsay's school of thinking about how manufactured truffle flavors are the most useless gourmet item in existence. So I decided on crab cakes eggs Benedict and added a soup and ice tea.

The ice tea came quickly and it was a strawberry jasmine tea. From previous reviews, the tea had huge slices of actual strawberries in it. Where were mine? All I got were strawberry bits. It was also bitter, no strawberry flavor. It was horrible.

Bread was warm and quite good. I don't use butter as I tend to eat my bread the French way. Tearing it bit by bit with my hands and mopping up the sauce instead of using butter. But for those that like butter, you will be pleased that they gave two packs even though I was dining alone. I was however glad they gave me two buns as I later realized I had a lot of gooey egg yolk to soak up.

Pumpkin soup was quite good. Loaded with pumpkin and very sweet. Extremely hot when it came out.

Crab cakes egg Benedict was surprisingly good. The eggs were perfectly poached. I slit into them and the yolk just flowed out like an erupting volcano. The egg white was cooked and not transparent. Perfect. The English muffin was toasted and soft. The hollandaise was a bit watery but it had a slight lemon tang that was good. The entire crab cake was all crab meat. No mixture of any other ingredients. But oddly it was a bit bland as it wasn't seasoned enough. It was also a bit annoying to find bits of shell in my crab cakes. They should spend time removing it. Cherry tomatoes were roasted and a nice touch. However, the salad greens had no dressing. Absolutely none so it became bitter.

All in all, there were some good, some need some improvement. May return if they change the menu as the other items weren't very interesting.

大家都吃得有點飽,所以只加一客咖啡酒意大利芝士蛋糕一同分享。咖啡酒的味道挺濃, mascarpone cheese入口綿密滑順,面層看似泥土的東西,其實是用牛油炒過的曲奇碎,有點邪惡但吃起上來味道更香。

前身法國餐廳一直供應的牛角包,現在只在下午茶時段才吃到,而且只剩下迷你版本,餡料是意大利芝士蛋糕,不過真的不錯,裡面的Tiramisu餡是流心的呢,迷你版本真的讓人好想多吃幾件。

離開之前參考過一下晚市餐牌,主菜只是百多元,最貴的肉眼牛扒大蝦也不過二百多,如果加頭盤再配無限添飲的凍茶汽水也只是$68,在銅鑼灣區來說算很合理,而且食物水準也不賴,適合一家大小或三五知己來一個casual dinner。

很少機會吃完一個tea都不飽, 這次是少數的。大概沒有什麼事的話, 不會再特別回來, 現在反而很想念以前的Le Salon Restaurant et Croissanterie。

Friend raised the idea - Hysan Place. In this building, there are many resturant in various dishes and not too pack during lunch. It's a great choice and inspired me about this restaurant "Moment", which one moment I looked at it last night. was attracted by the modern interior design but it kinda like baby cafe with big black sofa and grey color wall.

hkd 118 per person - many meals e.g. steak, fish,spaghetti, etc. If you pay more hkd 38 , you can get either salad/soup plus special tea drink or handmade cake. 

Iced strawberry jasmine tea killed my heart to order one but it 's a kinda disappointed that tea is not too aroma and strawberry is too less, comparative to the one I drunk in S'pore. It's far more grade!! 

Caser salad ...Hmm...it's pass but dressing is too much for me such a fat gal. 

Main course ordered black truffle oil carbonara and cheese burger shared with friends. Carbonara is light and fresh as waitress recommended. It's not cream heavy as others but its taste are still fine with fresh mushroom and cheese. You won't feel gulity after it, esp. gal. Too hungry so I miss out photo time ~~

Cheese burger is average. I cannot say it is very declicious and can hit the traditional burger room. The beef is medium , cheese is fair enuf, bun is baked well. Side dishes - Chip is fresh potato.

Service is on improving way. Waiters and waitress are polite and passion but tableware is not prepared well.

If i go again, I must choose spaghetti dishes.

One thing I 'm quite sure about whether it is the one opened in eslite before. Anyone knows?
