我以前很喜歡幫襯舊鋪,佢成間麵包工場咁款,俾人感覺好似好新鮮,但實際上,佢d包真好味,好鬆軟,唔似而家大部分連鎖集團,食下去好似一陣風,每次放工返屋企,我都好鍾意買佢既 egg tart 返屋企俾媽咪、爹d.,$2.5each. 5:30 出爐,好好味,熱"la la " 最正係佢唔係酥皮,大部分餅店都提倡酥皮,唔易找到呢間咁平,又好味既餅店,老闆好好人,夜晚set d 麵包平d,好讓大部分的平民百姓,都可以慳d$。

晚上因出席講座而來到鰂魚涌區,在港鐵站出口見到有不少人光顧這小店,於是買了個麵包作為第二天早餐。紫菜肉鬆包 ($4):體積很大。包面很多芝麻,很有口感。包身較實,不夠鬆軟。肉鬆餡份量不少,味道ok,但偏向了包的一邊。紫菜混入了肉鬆餡,份量略為少。整體不過不失。看看其他食評,原來此店的名物是雞批,下次有機會可以試試。

有時坐係OFFICE都無出外工作咁易肥, 是日經過麵包店又忍不住走入去買左個蔥油包食.蔥油包內有雞肉做餡料, 餡料唔算豐富但雞肉應該醃過所以非常入味, 加上食時有陣陣香蔥味道麵包亦夠鬆軟香綿, 見到好多人都買雞批下次都要試下.

被芝士兩字所吸引,但第一次食時以為店員拎錯了叉燒批呢!但店內明明就無出售其他批,就只有獨孤一味芝士雞批!於是再次到訪時就找店員問過究竟。店員話係有的,只係融咗喺個汁度!可惜跟其他食友所評的一樣,吃不出芝士味來!說回雞批本身,外層餅皮鬆化不過厚,而裡面並非配上一般的白汁餡料,而是叉燒醬配上洋蔥及雞脾肉。難怪總令人產生錯覺,只能說芝士味完全地被叉燒醬蓋過,毫不突出,但味道確是不錯的!

蛋撻只有曲奇皮,賣相不俗,蛋芯呈鮮黃色,而味道亦富蛋香,大小適中,曲奇皮跟雞批一樣不會過厚,只是不夠暖身,但相比許多連鎖店來得更有誠意!

火腿蛋包$4
用的是一般用作熱狗的長型的開邊麵包,比普通麵包較大件之餘,麺包亦更為鬆軟!配上煎蛋及火腿,既飽肚又美味,做早餐一流。

由於主要做街坊生意,店員尚算友善,不時代客拎包,而其他麵包味道一般。

近日自己興起吃港式麵包,是日走出鰂魚沖地鐵站,順路在新鳳凰買了雞批和菠蘿紅豆包。雞批出乎意料的好味,外皮顔色雖不見得多么誘人,但酥脆不散,牛油香味更是十分濃郁,甚至和我最愛的泰昌不相上下。裏面的雞肉餡也十分豐富,雞肉足料,幾乎沒有肥脂或雞批,其他配料似乎就只有洋蔥。我吃的時候雖不是剛剛出爐,但也夠熱,所以味道甚是香濃,可以稱得上是一流的雞批。剛剛的雞批是一流,這個紅豆菠蘿包就相形見絀,只得淪爲三流了。菠蘿皮不夠香,麵包不夠鬆軟,裏面的紅豆餡更是少得可憐,更不要說香甜惹味了,和附近新興的紅豆菠蘿包真是有不小的差距。看來,一家店多少會有所長,有所不擅長。但至少,我們還能用自己的經歷和他人分享,讓大家更有選擇,吃到鍾意的食物,這也是各位食友寫食評最主要的原因吧。近段時間,不少街坊食店因租金問題關閉(那天專程去鰂魚沖,本打算去吉祥咖啡室吃雞扒烏冬褒,但去了才知已經結業),希望這些平民小店,如這張紙托,能繼續留存下來,讓附近居民和在周圍返工的普通人多一個選擇,無論是一流或是三流,都是幸福!

來往過鰂魚涌C出口不少次,旁邊正正有一間餅店,一直以來我都沒有注視過她。近期在OR看過先知道這裡的芝士雞批很有名,我真的有眼不識泰山呀,既然知道左,今日經過絕對要買兩個回去試試看。我不是即買即食,計劃是隔天吃,這樣無啦啦給我發現到這雞批的熱力竟長達1.5小時﹗認真厲害第二天中午將它叮熱兩分鐘先食,哇,本來完好無缺的批變了地圖樣不過味道沒有影響,外層酥化到...手指用點力握住都即變餅碎,牛油香簡直勁度十足﹗香到不得了除了香之外,味道也豐有牛油的香濃滋味至於餡內用料十足,小小的批內有差不多十粒雞粒,每粒更是"去皮",吃得我好安心。另外陪著有少少甜甜汁醬,再加少少洋蔥粒,又香又甜很快就吃完了。雖然牛油用量很重,但食完毫不覺膩,相反是好食到想KO多幾個﹗說起來,最後我都是吃不到有任何芝士在內不過現在這個配搭已經勁好吃的了﹗只是拿多個膠袋使,就得知兩位看店阿姐一勞氣一好客氣,哈哈,未知好氣那位是否老闆娘呢﹖

合桃杯戟由應是老闆娘幫忙拿出, 只因每個小蛋糕在鐵盤裡仍以鐵杯罩著,想玩賣蛋糕的朋友可嘗試一下,合桃蛋糕偏向實在,不是一陣風的輕軟蛋糕做法, 甜度的確很足夠,只是蛋香稍為偏輕,面層小片合桃相當香脆新鮮,吃來沒有苦味,這款杯戟當茶點的確很好。

連同一個菠蘿紅豆包才$19!! 價錢相當街坊價,坐陣收銀處的疑是老闆娘親切有禮笑容滿臉, 麻煩客人要求鹹甜包分開也樂意,還說個別再分也沒問題,只要客人要求就可, 多體貼的服務耶!趁當時沒有太多客人,首次光顧也跟老闆娘聊得像相識很久似的,街坊小店就有這種親切感!

除了附近街坊或職員,連外籍人仕也懂來這小店買麵包、雞批,利害唄!

It "LOOKED LIKE" a really nice Western chocolate cake with a cherry on top.
I asked what it was, but the staff there didnt seem to get my question.
Anyway I got one, and when they picked it up, it seemed really hard and unfresh, but I did not bother to ask for a fresher one.
When it was picked up by the tongs, the cake did not deform or compress so you can imagine how hard it was.
As I was carrying it, the cream in the middle and on the top was so brittle that the cherry fell off with the cream intact.
The taste was totally Chinese, the typical salted chocolate cream.
The cake was dry and hard.

Chicken Pie
It was slightly warm which was better than cold.
The pastry was the short crust type and you could smell the usual Chinese butter.
The crust was just right, not too hard and not too crumbly, it had the usual buttery and sweet taste of Chinese pies.
Anyway the filling was the best, it was simple, it was diced chicken thigh, onions and rich brown gravy.
The chicken was fresh and tender.
The parmesan could not be visually seen, but it worked well and made the whole pie taste nice.
The parmesan was really subtle and did not over power anything.
I really liked this chicken pie because it tasted the same as the gravy chicken pies in UK except for the sweet crust.

If this sounds like a deja vu, it is. I keep coming back to eat their Chicken Pie here. - Filled with onion, parmesan cheese, and chicken. This might not be everyone's preferred chicken pie interior. I like the creamy ham with chicken ones too. - The pastry here is very good though. Its not overly sweet, and its not overly crumbly either. Just blogging about it, makes me want to come back again tomorrow!

新鳳凰在七姊妹道的老店開了好多年了, 最近幾個月在鰂魚涌港鐵站 C 出口外開了新的分店。(也是的, 舊店所在的那群大廈舊得隨時都會給收購重建的樣子, 找個新地方也很合理。)新店裝修跟一般街坊港式麵包店差不多啦, 包餅的款式跟舊店大同小異 (反正都是舊店運來的嘛), 但也有些新店限定的東西, 例如這個 HK Epicurus 君介紹過的芝士雞批 ($6)。拿回家裡才吃, 所以批皮放涼了, 淋了些, 然而吃下去也是相當的鬆化而且牛油味香濃, 相信熱食會很不錯。同意內餡真的跟市面上的雞批不同, 沒有很黏稠的忌廉/麵粉漿, 倒是有些蘑菇洋蔥等物伴著雞粒, 感覺蠻特別也沒有那麼膩滯。只是...哪兒來的芝士呢? 舊店熱賣的腿蛋包這裡也有供應, 但近來已加了價至 $5 一個, 雖然吃過銅鑼灣禮頓餅店的, 覺得那該是全港最好吃 (以我有限的見識來說) 的腿蛋包, 但這裡的也有其賣點, 起碼價錢較便宜, 而且蛋皮煎得比較薄, 也是另一種風味來的。老闆呂先生仍然坐鎮舊店, 這裡就由一至兩位店員小姐駐守, 招呼一般啦不過都算勤快。
