無意中上網見到呢間buffet有6折優惠,再上黎open rice度睇食評覺得可以一試所以早3日book左,好彩仲有位… 而聽電話嘅staff亦都好有禮貌夜晚buffet 6點至到10:30,比其他酒店buffet嘅時間長… 果日6點幾去到,都仲有好多吉位去到8點全場就full哂!食完之後總括黎講食物款式唔算多,不過想食嘅野都有齊哂個人認為長腳蟹不錯,但波士頓龍蝦就略遜一籌… 毫無龍蝦味,而生蠔質素參差…不過$360有得食波士頓龍蝦、長腳蟹、生蠔,法式寶雲酥燒羊架… 仲想點?另外睇到網友8月去果陣仲有加送一杯夏日特飲同埋佛跳牆或椰汁燉燕窩… 但我今次9月黎3樣都已經無供應了而甜品方面最吸引都係Häagen-Dazs杯裝雪糕… 其他甜品款式唔多… 9點果陣好多cake款已經無哂亦都無再refill...可能因為配合返PALETTE個名嘅關係,餐廳嘅燈都好cyber,係幾特別… 不過影相出黎就唔多靚個人黎講encore機會不大… 但都係果句,呢個價錢試到咁多野都算係抵,出面都無乜邊間酒店buffet做得到可以都可以一試。

又喺小弟慣常食自助餐嘅攻略,就喺先嚟一大份沙律夾少少冷盤。先介紹吓有咩選擇先,沙律方面有4款沙律菜、6款配料、6款醬汁,足夠簡簡單單砌份靚靚仔仔嘅沙律,不過,醬汁嘅擺位真喺有啲問題,晌兩組食物箱嘅中間隙位,隊隻碟埋去時就好難「畢」啲汁,唔隊埋去呢,啲汁好易瀉去另外啲醬汁度,溝到雜晒就唔好啦。

海鮮陣容相對弱啲,感覺無咁有睇頭,但其實已經有波士頓龍蝦、日本松葉蟹腳、加拿大翡翠螺、紐西蘭藍青口4款,都算喺精選嘢。其實,有時食物唔一定要好多,最緊要具質素,俾十幾款海鮮你,你亦未必試得晒,但樣樣都普通貨色,就更加無意思。

老婆少肉多菜,所以,除咗火腿、煙肉,咩配料都要,意粉要香辣味,再配蕃茄汁,加多一支羊架,就做成小弟依一碟羊架蕃茄香辣意粉。意粉煮得好有咬口,食落真喺有啲辣辣哋,個蕃茄汁底亦好酸香。至於條羊架,入口好嫩,羊味唔算羶,搽上芥辣就更滋味。

雖然樣樣都想試,但都明白量力而為嘅重要性,任食啫,唔使搏命嘅,故此揀咗當中最心水嘅8款作為我嘅甜品拼盤。試過之後,確喺有水準,黑松露朱古力慕絲最有驚喜,入口松露味真喺湧出嚟,慕絲好柔滑;其次,屬上佳之作仲有檸檬蛋白撻、青檸啫喱,因為前者味道輕盈,檸味清新,撻殼脆口,而後者青檸啫喱酸香醒神,最有心思喺啲分子珠珠,咬爆之後喺蜜糖漿嚟,平衡番青檸嘅酸度。此外,綠茶豆奶布甸、西瓜蛋糕、朱古力香蕉蛋糕幾款都喺出色嘅出品。

The desserts were very decadent as well as creative. My favorite was the bread pudding with custard, which was creamy and very delectable. Lychee jelly was imaginatively placed into an oyster shell to look like beautiful pearls. There was also a nice selection of Haagen-Daz ice cream flavours including summer flavours like Mango and Rasberry.

Finally got to try the Palette dinner buffet, which is in the Sav hotel, which opened about two years ago. Booking was easy and service was courteous. We used the open rice coupon which gave a 40% discount, so it came out to $350 pp on a Thursday night.

Overall I was happy with the dining experience. Although the salad selection is lacking and they did not have any sashimi, the food on offer was fairly high quality. Food was replenished quickly. Highlights were the lobster halves, cooked seafood station (freshly cooked to order in noodle soup or porridge), prime rib, beef tenderloin cubes (really good), grilled pineapple, and lamb rack. What it lacks in variety it makes up in quality and consistency, which is sometimes hard to find in buffets, where quantity usually trumps quality.

Special mention was the "private kitchen" corner, featuring tea leaf-smoked chicken, which was super tender juicy and flavorful. I also liked the five spice tofu.

We also got a choice of one of three free cocktail/mock tail in addition to coffee/tea, which was a nice gesture.

The ambience was nice the evening we were there as it was not crowded at all. However as the restaurant is not very large I can imagine it can be a bit crowded if it seated it's full capacity.

生蠔好瘦,凍蝦唔新鮮,松葉蟹腳味道過咸,燒牛仔肉過熟,連切開都有難度,羊架過生,係生到只有外皮你係熟,內裡全部生肉,食物選擇少,最失敗係坐位,一般食自助餐都主要係坐得舒服,但坐膠櫈食自助餐我都係第一次,坐得好唔舒服,好硬,有種好想快快食飽快快走嘅感覺,坐得1個鐘左右就開始pat pat痛
