Went there for a group dinner. Though the waiters were prompt and service ok. I'm pretty good with handling food but their salmon dish was a bit undercooked and the following days fell ill. You can never be sure what the cause is but I didn't really like my salmon undercooked and tasting "fishy". continue reading

一行五人訂枱跟朋友慶祝生日,自備蛋糕入餐廳,已預算付切餅費, 到逹餐廳後, 領位侍應見我們提住蛋糕盒, 問我們是否在餐廳享用, 因為說會有 $150 切餅費,同意後給侍應放進廚房冷藏。用餐完畢後, 我到樓面同另一侍應指示上蛋糕,卻跟切餅費是$300,我懷疑地問: "不是說$150?" 當位侍應回應我道: "每磅" (即$150/磅), 我沒有跟他講第一位給我們說是$150 (正確是我們沒有問清潔以每次/人/甚至磅, 老實說, 請見笑本人甚少聽到以磅收費的), 只是笑了, 然後點頭就跟朋友切蛋糕去, 不想因為這樣掃興. 因為我們都已經完餐, 準備食蛋糕拍照了......此評論不要任何回應/回扣, 只是想給帶蛋糕去餐廳的人有一個預算的準備。餐廳是有甜品提供的, 也見到其他枱客人享用蛋糕, 如果唔想有爭議的話, 最好是問清楚。主食的餐單也有很多選擇, 所以建議 都是在內享用餐廳提供之食物。 continue reading

緣份是十分奇妙的東西,有啲人見極都friend唔起,有啲就可以細水長流。今晚吃飯的對象係我第一份工作的同事,數數手指,我們相識了12年,每年都keep住食飯見面,今晚是準新娘D小姐的生日,於是便相約於氣氛型格的Penthouse為她慶祝。這是我第2次光顧Penthouse,九月初這餐廳還有酒精類飲品供應的,今次卻說酒牌更新中,所以無得開香檳替準新娘子慶祝。我地3位ladies點了3個appetizer來分享,Grill Baby Squid非常好味,炭燒味十分突出,Baby Squid大隻飽滿,肉質好嫩滑。醬汁微酸,仲有少量Salami,配搭得宜,非常開胃,大家都一致讚好。蜆湯放了大量香草,啖湯好甜,用來伴麵包吃一流。蜆唔算細隻,新鮮肉厚,不錯。Tuna Tartare加了少量蔬果,味道青新。將隻温泉蛋同啲生吞拿魚肉撈埋嚟食,口感更滑。主菜點了兩款來share,黑松露忌簾汁意粉是必食之作,意粉貨地糼滑,非常配合個超 creamy嘅醬汁,温泉蛋中和了醬汁的濃,建議大家要撈混啲先食。Black Truffle味好突出,烟肉亦提升了香味,必食。Pork Ribs散發着非常濃郁balsamic vinegar的味道,大大減低了ribs的肥膩。餐廳只提供最嫩滑的部位給客人,骨多過肉,啱哂鍾意lun骨的我。不過我就嫌ribs肥左啲,不過我相信大部份人都會喜歡此ribs。我來過兩次,兩次都覺得上菜速度快得驚人,service兩次都不好,啲staff成日跌嘢,淨係得啲senior staff識答問題。如果大家想帶自攜生日蛋糕來,請三思,這裡的切餅費是逐磅計的,每磅$100元,上次我地訂了一個2磅的COVA蛋糕,Penthouse 竟然用他們的磅去磅我地個蛋糕,然後charge我地4磅。經過呢次嘅經驗,我可以肯定COVA蛋糕分量十足。 continue reading

假期前夕,想與友人找一間景色開揚的餐廳午膳。記起有人推介這兒的半自助午餐,便來試一試。一入餐廳便看見它的自助前菜區,種類繁多,各式沙律、芝士齊備。還有蜜瓜和哈蜜瓜伴巴拿馬火腿。對女孩子來說,這個前菜自助區已經足夠。試過每款前菜,全部味道都不錯,合乎期望,但未算出色。主菜選了煎三文魚和蘑菇薄餅。三文魚煮得很嫩滑,可惜仍帶絲絲魚腥味。反而伴菜魷魚帶有濃濃的炭燒味,煮得非常可口。蘑菇薄餅是意想不到的出色。餅底香脆適中,蘑菇和芝士的味道配合得非常好。蘑菇香而帶少許蔬菜的湯汁,令我這個不愛菌類的也吃得津津有味。甜品也是以自助形式供應,但選擇不多,味道也不見特出。總的來說,這裡的前菜和主菜都美味,只是甜品遜色。餐廳環境未如傳聞般吸引,維港景色也只是在樓群中看到一點點,不夠開揚。 continue reading
