When I went in, I was greeted by this beautiful Philipino woman called Irene Concepcion, the owner who loves Bagels from Montreal which is why she opened this store.

At the front there was a big cabinet with lots of huge bagels.

Apart from Bagel, there were lots of other items on sale.

Sadly, this shop will close in three days time (26/3/14) which is why it is my first and last visit.

Hopefully, they will open in Sheung Wan and I wish them all the best.

As I am not Canadian, Bagels are not really my thing so I got the blueberry cake instead.

I really regretted not trying their shakes because the flavours were quite creative.

The blueberry cake was crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle mixed with lots of blueberries.

I've always walked past this bagel store on bonham road. And finally on the recommendation of a friend, walked in for a late lunch today. I've always walked past this bagel store on bonham road. And finally on the recommendation of a friend, walked in for a late lunch today. They have a really large menu, serving alot of other food apart from bagels (cookies, pizza, smoothies, etc).

But I was there to try their signature food, so I went for the bagel signature sandwich. It's essentially smoked salmon with capers, red onion (which I requested to remove), cream cheese
and some greens and tomatoes. The combination is classic and simply delicious. The bagel (I went adventurous and got the Cheese and Jalapenos) was crunchy on the outside and soft, and chewy. Just the right bite and exactly what you want from a bagel, except with additional flavors of Jalapenos and cheese). The lady boss was really friendly and gave me an assortment of condiments to have with my bagels. The condiments are not the cheap salt and pepper you usually see in hong kong food stores, but actually pretty quality ones. The bagel sandwich and a diet coke cost me about $74, not exactly cheap. But it fills you up and really satisfies you.

I chatted a little with the lady boss who was really really friendly. The store actually does quite abit of community outreach programmes and have a really good morning promo going on, free coffee with bagels purchase from 7-10am (too bad i'm still asleep at that time).

Students actually get 10% off your total cost. I didn't know that, so I didn't get the discount. But they gave me a free cookie (which is huge) to take home instead. Really nice, quiet and decent place to hang out (now that Cafe O is closed) or grab lunch I think.

I'll definitely pop by regularly, esp since it's hard to get good food at 3-6 pm in hk. The smoothies sound very tempting.

Highly recommended. So check it out if you're in the vicinity and want some quality baked goods.
