這就是我的英國夜消磨

我喜歡英國菜，這是一個不可抗力的事實。所以，一旦發現到有新的 Fish & Chips 店舖，我都會盡量想辦法去試一下。不過，詰就咁話，點到要時間同金錢，當然也需要地利啦，雖然我有一個比較長既 lunch hour，但也不敢跑太遠。近日，因為姪女的 Fish & Chips 狂熱，狂到連去日本都要找 facebook 之神，幫她找 Fish & Chips 店。她此舉，也令我產生了 Fish & Chips 的狂熱，令我不吃一份 Fish & Chips 不安樂。於是，我找了兩個有空的中午天，本想找姪女一起食，不過兩次來，兩次都夾唔到，於是，我就決定在這《Soho Fish & Chips》展開我的個人炸魚薯條之旅。店子細細的，若是加上了一個炸爐在店面前，就會是一個很典型的 Fish & Chips Shop。不過，當我細心一看，這店會售賣 Kebab，OH! 這不就是以前在英國的時候，浦完 Disco 後指定圓份野食走的 Kebab + Fish & Chips Shop 嗎? 頓時，又令我想起以前大學的癲頹生活了。說過，我來的目的是為了 Fish & Chips，在有三種供選擇之下

於是，我找了兩個有空的中午天，本想找姪女一起食，不過兩次來，兩次都夾唔到，於是，我就決定在這《Soho Fish & Chips》展開我的個人炸魚薯條之旅。

 店子細細的，若是加上了一個炸爐在店面前，就會是一個很典型的 Fish & Chips Shop。不過，當我細心一看，這店會售賣 Kebab，OH! 這不就是以前在英國的時候，浦完 Disco 後指定圓份野食走的 Kebab + Fish & Chips Shop 嗎? 頓時，又令我想起以前大學的癲頹生活了。

 說過，我來的目的是為了 Fish & Chips，在有三種供選擇之下，我選了 Halibut，雖知 Cod 好食，但 Halibut 的肉質就比較厚身同爽，所以，一旦有有別於 Cod 魚的選擇，我的首選一定是 Halibut。

 切開，魚肉爽脆香口，漿粉又不太厚，做得出一層薄脆的感覺，Batter 加了鹽，輕輕的咸味帶動了魚肉的鮮味，我感覺到，這就是我追求的英國感覺。只是薯條仍未能做到生切而已，不過我們身在香港而非英國，不能要求太高。

 傳統的炸魚薯條，是會伴以一個 Manchester Caviar，Manchester Caviar 就是 Mushy Peas，為何會叫 Manchester Caviar? (或有時會稱為 Yorkshire Caviar)，查根究底後，原來只是當地人把 Mushy Peas 優稱而已，沒什麼特別。不過，這 Mushy Peas 水泡得未夠，泡久一點，再綿多一點，會更好食。

 識食英式薯條的朋友，一定識落 Salt & Vinegar，而此店的所用的 Vinegar 是 Marks and Spencer 出品，配薯條魚條，有鹽有醋才食得開心。

 改日，我是為了 Kebab 而來，不過，我決定尋回當年大學的夜消磨味道，來一個 Kebab Meat & Chips。可是我食當日的羊肉沽清，所以我只好改吃雞肉，而遞到我面前的出品，除多了沙律火箭菜之外，這一切就是我大學的宵夜極品。

 以前在印巴人開的 Fish & Chips 食 Kebab Meat & Chips，是沒有菜的，當我把所有沙律菜吃光後，整個 Kebab Meat & Chips 就原型畢露了。純烤肉，純薯條，加點沙律、辣醬，Tartar 醬，帶少少咸、酸、辣，再配合了烤肉的香，非常之惹味，若是真正地吃到羊肉，味道會是更加升華，入口的感覺更加是邪惡萬分。

 食 Fish & Chips 同 Kebab 就一定不會咁斯文，一定不會咁紳士地飲奶茶啦，無論天時熱定凍，一罐汽水最實際。我習慣飲 Lemonade，而一般的鬼仔鬼妹，Vimto 同 Tango 大家又飲過未，只可惜以上兩個品牌，香港少見。

 Kebab 的確是一個邪惡萬分的食品，當年18-22，當然食幾多都唔怕。而家年紀大了，真係間唔中食下好啦。不過，正面的說，這兒的 Fish & Chips，這兒的 Kebab，的確令我們回想起英國求學的瘋癲時，來《Soho Fish & Chips》一吃，觸起許多回憶。

    同老公去到SOHO, 又唔想食steak, 又唔想fine dine, 純粹飲下食少少野飲下啤酒就係轉角位見到呢間Soho fish & chips, 原來佢唔止炸野食, 仲有pizza、kebabs果d野食,就入左去叫左 jalapeno, mozzarella sticks 、cod fish & chips老細話佢d魚係由美國運返黎既鱈魚, 比較厚肉而且肉質嫩滑雖然係油炸, 但佢炸得唔油膩而且仲配有青豆醬, 一齊食感覺唔heavy即使唔點茄汁或其他醬, 只係灑少少鹽已經好食!一口咬落去一拉~拉到好長都唔斷XDjalapeno 係墨西哥小食,入面有青椒同芝士,味道辛辣又有芝士香味我同老公邊食邊飲啤酒, 好正呀喂!!!我同老公講, 下次再黎要試埋佢地既kebabs同pizza!!!!

     老細話佢d魚係由美國運返黎既鱈魚, 比較厚肉而且肉質嫩滑
    雖然係油炸, 但佢炸得唔油膩而且仲配有青豆醬, 一齊食感覺唔heavy
    即使唔點茄汁或其他醬, 只係灑少少鹽已經好食!

    於中環區想找到不用等位，靜靜地嘅餐廳食𠹵，閒閒地都200蚊落樓，估唔到今日有新發現！超感動！只係45蚊的午餐係邊度搵？中環wor? 😜😜😜午餐有好多選擇，一律45蚊：沙律類，土耳其卡巴類，Meat Box, 意粉，印度咖哩飯等，應有盡有。本人叫左土式羊肉meat box, 估唔到仲可以揀飯或薯條。因為好肚餓嘅關係，我就叫在飯。而同事就叫左咖哩魚飯。我初時以為佢收咁平，應該係細細份，仲諗住可能要要叫多份，不過，黎到都好大份，仲有沙律添。d沙律菜十分新鮮，尤其是紫洋䓤，味道鮮甜。羊肉是做卡巴的羊肉，非常惹味。最有驚喜的是，他們的飯是用印度米煮成的。飯的軟硬度適中，不會像大XX那些都一舊舊。因大廚是印度人的關係，他的咖哩也不用懷疑吧！反正見同事食得津津有味就知道。Oh, btw, 唔記得左講，佢地$45午餐係包飲品的，而且，係雪到溫度啱啱好的罐裝可樂，罐裝，你懂的！我唔知香港人有幾接受印度人煮印度／土耳其野，不過，我已經同同事約左下星期再去食，我正期待著佢d咖哩！我再重申多次，中環喎，$45一餐𠹵，邊度搵？

    午餐有好多選擇，一律45蚊：
    沙律類，土耳其卡巴類，Meat Box, 意粉，印度咖哩飯等，應有盡有。

    Great place to have fish & chips! Very convenient to get food from as it only takes a few good minutes. I have tried virtually everything they have. so far, I'm not disappointed! Great thin crust pizzas, yummy and generous amount of meat (meatbox/salad).Fish fingers is already a meal (comes with chips too!) Lasagna, affordable and super cheesy Kebabs, tasty and generous with meat and veggeReally good Indian curry dishes! I was looking for a restaurant with nice comforting food during the weekend

    Very convenient to get food from as it only takes a few good minutes.


    I have tried virtually everything they have. so far, I'm not disappointed!


    Great thin crust pizzas, yummy and generous amount of meat (meatbox/salad).

    Fish fingers is already a meal (comes with chips too!)

    Lasagna, affordable and super cheesy

    Kebabs, tasty and generous with meat and vegge

    Really good Indian curry dishes! I was looking for a restaurant with nice comforting food during the weekends and I find this place to be perfect. Yummy
    butter chicken curry with biryani rice! (highly recommend).

    I love their fish and chips, it comes with mushy peas, ketchup, vinegar, mayo (for condiment lovers) thick cut chips in a nicely proportioned take away box (for people on the go).

    And for lunch--

    I love the fact they have lunch meals (affordable for soho's price range! Last time I went, it's $45 for a meal that comes with any canned drink (weekdays) Either curry, pasta or kebab dish.. This is just very affordable with great tasting food too.

    I do plan on coming by here again!

     Not quite the greasy kebab that I was craving for.
    The Pita bread was a bit dry and hard which was improved after sauce was added and the mixed meat did not have any strong spices in it.
    There was chicken and lamb in the mixture and I was disappointed that I could not taste the chicken tikka.
