Today I kept it simple and ordered my two staple dishes. The first was the marinated galbi. In the past, they made this in front of you on a stone plate, but on this particular visit not sure if they were busy or simply lazy, all they did was cut the beef and left you to our own to cook it. It’s not exactly a problem, just merely an observation.



The taste and quality of the beef delivered. It was juicy and tender, and by all accounts this hasn’t changed over the many years of patronage to Sorabol.

The second dish was the homemade beef noodles. I usually order two portions but as I wasn’t feeling too hungry, opted for 1 portion. It comes with a choice of seasonings which you can pick and chose whether you want to add in: pepper, sesame, chilli and garlic. We opted not to go for chilli as per usual but this time also didn’t go for the garlic. This was a mistake because while the texture of the noodles was fine, the lack of garlic meant that the soup base was rather bland.

Service also left a lot to be said. The lack of staff meant that service was slow and rushed. Plates were constantly being thrown into the trolley carts which resulted in a rather unpleasant overall dining experience.



I’d probably be trying out other Korean restaurants before returning any time soon.

很久很久沒有來.. 但記憶中係幾好味的(以前同爸媽來)... 上周五因為在附近massage, 老公等我拍拖, 而我們又想試d 佢未試過的餐廳,所以來了... 訂了位,所以不用等.. 老公叫了一款沒有醃過的牛肉 (以為會好有原本的牛味而非醃料味),  另外叫了豬頸肉, 同一個石頭鍋飯... 只有個飯係ok的d肉完全, 係完全, 無味, 又肥膩!!  只可以用難食來形容!!!  個醬油也不知怎的, 既非鼓油, 也非麻油... 質地似麻油但又係無味兼肥膩!  前菜也不見得好..完全中伏!  食了$500多元(兩個人不算貴), 但我情願加多$200返去太古名家食... : (

今天放假,想吃正宗韓燒,久聞這兒大名,連韓國奧巴也來此用餐。餐廳簡約雅致,可眺望銅鑼灣景色。點了牛排骨,海鮮餅和餃子。牛排骨是侍應燒的,肉鮮而味道甜美,好吃。餃子是韓國傳統包法,饀很豐富,味道OK。饀餅很大個,抵吃,有小蝦和魷魚仔,蔥也多,唔錯。很對辦的韓國料理,會再來。

點樣知道係唔係食緊好既韓國菜其實好簡單,睇泡菜同蘿蔔尼間正宗得黎有自己特色,最記得配菜其中之一既蘿蔔絲就加入左柚子皮一齊醃,就算唔係獨創都較其他好多韓國餐廳有心。特別係叫左兩次肉眼食,太多肉有啲滯,配菜夠清夠爽令我地可以連戰兩碟肉眼。

Nice decor. BBQ : they use a fat that doesnt work very well so by the time the BBQ surface is hot the food sticks and there are a lot of black little burnt bits on the plate.To avoid this the staff come around regularly to change the hot plate (including when you have meat cooking on the plate) ... But this means you are putting half cooked meat onto a cold plate so the meat is stewing! Not bbq-ing!!!You are supposed to BBQ meat on a HOT plate! Not a cold one.

“新罗宝”这名字翻得很合吃吃君的意,是香港雷人翻译中为数不多闪烁着智慧光芒的译名......一方面和英文Sarabol读音相近;另一方面又和朝鲜历史上的“新罗”旧邦名字相配,一听就知道是吃朝鲜韩国菜(如果乃们觉得这个分类听着别扭,就主动脑改成“韩国料理”吧)的。其实这家店在北京也有好几家分店,只不过翻译成了吊诡的“萨拉伯尔”,不知情的以为是吃中东菜的......虽者说新罗宝宣称是从韩国开过来的,而且铜锣湾店中服务员大部分都是韩国人(朝鲜人?朝鲜族?惊恐脸),但吃吃君在首尔晃荡好几天都没有搜到这家餐厅,旅行书上也毫无踪影。这就好比吃吃君在台北找了老半天一茶一坐,发现根本就没什么店,貌似只有一家店,摔!太唬人......不过话要说回来,香港新罗宝菜品质量还是不错的,北京的萨拉伯尔我只去过四惠那家,好吧,吃吃君承认是自己作死,跑那么偏僻的分店去吃。结果自然是难吃哭。因此当时朋友说去铜锣湾吃新罗宝,心里还迟疑了一下。没想到大大改变了我对这个品牌的印象。据说蔬菜和海鲜都是每周从韩国空运过来的,牛肉和五花肉都不错,看着肥瘦相间的五花肉在烤锅上滋滋流油真是刺激食欲啊(吃多了当然不行);海鲜锅算不上真

“新罗宝”这名字翻得很合吃吃君的意,是香港雷人翻译中为数不多闪烁着智慧光芒的译名......一方面和英文Sarabol读音相近;另一方面又和朝鲜历史上的“新罗”旧邦名字相配,一听就知道是吃朝鲜韩国菜(如果乃们觉得这个分类听着别扭,就主动脑改成“韩国料理”吧)的。其实这家店在北京也有好几家分店,只不过翻译成了吊诡的“萨拉伯尔”,不知情的以为是吃中东菜的......

虽者说新罗宝宣称是从韩国开过来的,而且铜锣湾店中服务员大部分都是韩国人(朝鲜人?朝鲜族?惊恐脸),但吃吃君在首尔晃荡好几天都没有搜到这家餐厅,旅行书上也毫无踪影。这就好比吃吃君在台北找了老半天一茶一坐,发现根本就没什么店,貌似只有一家店,摔!太唬人......

不过话要说回来,香港新罗宝菜品质量还是不错的,北京的萨拉伯尔我只去过四惠那家,好吧,吃吃君承认是自己作死,跑那么偏僻的分店去吃。结果自然是难吃哭。因此当时朋友说去铜锣湾吃新罗宝,心里还迟疑了一下。没想到大大改变了我对这个品牌的印象。据说蔬菜和海鲜都是每周从韩国空运过来的,牛肉和五花肉都不错,看着肥瘦相间的五花肉在烤锅上滋滋流油真是刺激食欲啊(吃多了当然不行);海鲜锅算不上真材实料,不建议点。吃吃君最爱的是用紫苏叶包五花肉,紫苏特殊的香气,可以减少五花肉给人带来的肥腻感,简直是绝配。可是很多韩餐店经常只给很少的紫苏叶,一堆的生菜叶,简直反胃。在首尔吃烤肉,紫苏叶可给的一点都不吝啬!

好了题外话就说到这里了,朝鲜韩国料理中的烤肉以及重口味的煮物都容易上火,长痘的童鞋们还是控制下口腹之欲吧.......
