 When I called to make a reservation, I was informed that there are 2 seatings available: 7pm-9pm and 9pm-11pm. I chose the first seating and came here promptly at 7pm with 5 other friends. 

Once we got off the elevator, we had to ring the doorbell before we were let inside the restaurant. The restaurant was decently big with seats at the yakitori bar as well as tables in the general dining area. All of the magic took place behind the counter with lots of smoke and action! Unfortunately, the ventilation was not that good here meaning that my clothes smelled like yakitori afterwards.

The yakitori menu was vast with lots of selections in chicken, beef, pork, seafood and vegetables. There was also another kitchen menu with dishes like rice, noodles, tempura, etc. We ordered a bit of everything to share from both menus.

Before our food arrived, we were given a free appetizer which consisted of seaweed tomatoes, and imitation crab in vinegar sauce. The ingredients were simple yet the sauce was quite acidic and appetizing as a starter.

Grilled Puffer Fish ($92) - the puffer fish jerky was grilled perfectly as it was crispy and chewy at the same time. The puffer fish tasted slightly sweet and the mayonnaise was great as an enhancement for flavor.

Grilled Ox Tongue ($58) - the grilled ox tongue was executed nicely here as well as the tongue was juicy and tender while seasoned perfectly. A wasabi mustard sauce was provided as well though I thought the sauce was too strong and overpowering at times.

Grilled Chicken Cartilage ($30) - the chicken cartilage was very crunchy but overseasoned so it was a bit salty. The fresh lemon juice helped to take away some of the saltiness. 

Grilled Spiced Chicken Kidney ($30) - the chicken kidney, on the other hand, was a nice surprise as the texture was very bouncy, and seasoned perfectly. I liked this more than the cartilage.

Grilled Bacon & Cherry Tomato Roll ($35) - the cherry tomatoes were HOT!! We were forewarned but I still popped the entire thing in my mouth. The bacon was crispy and salty while the tomato was sweet and hot. It was a good combination but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't so concerned with burning my mouth. LOL.

Grilled Eggplant ($45) - I was hoping this would be a miso-glazed grilled eggplant but it was just freshly grilled eggplant with ginger and soy sauce as dip. The eggplant was alright but it wasn't as flavorful as I'd hope it would be.

Grilled Lamb Chop ($88) - we had gotten this last time and it was also highly recommended by our friends. Unfortunately, the lamb chop this time was a tad overcooked so the meat was a bit tough and chewy. The taste was great though as it was gamey and flavorful at the same time.

Foie Gras & Egg Rice ($180) - my favorite dish of the night! They smashed up the foie gras and egg for us before serving it into little bowls for us. The rice was really rich and flavorful with bits of foie gras and egg in every bite. It was very filling and a nice dish to round up our dinner.

Overall, the yakitori here was on average pretty good as they know what they are doing in terms of grilling and seasoning. I don't think it's the best in town, but a solid joint with reasonable prices. The service was friendly too as I didn't get to take a picture of our foie gras rice before it was smashed up so the waitress offered to let me take a picture of someone else's rice when it was ready. It's a nice hidden gem in an alley (literally), and if your elevator *accidentally* stops on the other floors, you'll have interesting stories to tell too!

第四,必食既係鵝肝旦炒飯。炒完既飯撈爛左塊鵝肝,加埋一隻剪過既sun-shine egg…帶濕潤,唔會”乾爭爭”之餘,亦有鵝肝同旦香…如果唔係驚短命,我一人可以隊一個…不過,建議最好分成4-5碗同朋友分享!
最後,提大家記得訂位。呢度係做”會員”生意既,即係熟客啦?所以,成日都會撞到人。我記得當年佢係蚊形鋪既時候,我撞過岩岩同楊家後人拍拖既”影陰”專家”臣爺”…
食完之後,大家應該唔會再去普遍認為好既”燒鳥/照燒亭” – 無論價錢定係水準。唯一美中不足,就係太慢。太餓者最好喺樓下翠華打打底先,否則,餓死冇命陪

因為職員幫我分咗兩碗,而且佢將成份嘢攪爛咗,所以影唔到相。
講返碗飯,本來雙蛋加鵝肝只會諗到超標膽固醇,而家好似塊鵝肝比兩隻蛋搞到cheap哂。但係,當所有嘢攪伴後,每一啖飯有蛋味加上鵝肝味,出奇地夾,我幾飽都唔記得了,食哂﹗呢個...絕對係必食項目。

It’s actually down an alley that you’d probably never go down, with the only signs outside the building lobby being for some rather shady establishments. Upon arrival we found the door closed, private kitchen style. As I was trying the door, a viewing slit slid open and we were let in.

The decor was suitably “yakitori joint”, with sake bottle labels on the walls and everyone sat in a communal space with an open kitchen to one side. All too often tables at restaurants in HK are packed shoulder to shoulder, but fortunately this wasn’t the case here. As it was a weekday night, the half-occupied tables were mostly young twentysomethings and office workers.

As time was tight, we only ordered five things:

1. Grilled bacon and cherry tomato roll skewer (燒煙肉番茄卷) ($32)
2. Grilled ox tongue skewer (牛脷串燒)($55)
3. Grilled chicken cartilage skewer (燒雞軟骨)($28)
4. Grilled chicken with shiso (perilla, a herb) and plum sauce skewer (紫蘇雞肉)($28)
5. Grilled lamb chop (羊扒燒)($80)

Note that the prices for skewers are per single skewer.

We were given a compulsory starter of sorts, a small potato salad with a cherry tomato, crabstick and cucumber stick. The cherry tomato was fresh and juicy. The rest of the salad was decent, nothing extraordinary, but it did its job. What was a bit of a downer was that it was given to you but costs $28 (per head), the same price as many of their skewers.

First to arrive was the bacon and cherry tomato roll skewer. We were warned that the tomato inside was hot, and even after a while it still was. A good sign I suppose, as it was full of juice. The bacon was done nicely with just a slight charring on the edge, and the salty touch was interesting with the sweet tomato. A unique dish from this place.

Soon after was the ox tongue. This was really what I was waiting for, as out of all the farm animals I’ve made out with, ox is the best. It was thick cut and flavourful, quite firm but not so much that it was chewy. A smear of mustard added some extra kick. Good job.

After I think 40 minutes from ordering came the lamb rack. The size explained why it took so long, as we got two pretty big ribs with a good-sized chunk of meat (which they helped separate from the bone for us as we were sharing). It was pink in the centre and not chewy or burned, and there was some mustard to spice it up a bit as the taste of lamb can get repetitive.

So, four skewers and half a chunk of lamb later, I was at the “pleasantly satisfied” stage of fullness; scientists put this at approximately 73.5% full. Overall, everything was served piping hot off the grill and as you know you just can’t beat that fresh taste. The service was friendly and our tea was refilled constantly. However, if good value to you means being stuffed, it might be an expensive venture for you here: after 10% service it was $232 each. You may want to mix it up with some (more filling) main dishes and a surgical strike on the more unique skewers.

A final friendly warning: As other reviews here might say, on busier nights there might be smokers lighting up, and although there were no smokers that night, because of the smoke wafting from the open grill nearby, everything on you WILL smell like BBQ!

總結︰
如果追求炭爐先食串燒,我想這裡唔岩心水。不過對我黎講,唔用炭爐,都燒得有此水準,我都收貨滿意。

最後埋單$711!真係無野好講!!!!

其實最不滿唔係價錢,而係冇同我地講明要等咁耐
一開始,如果個staff講明個飯要製作需時,咁我地就ok,冇問題
但係要等咁耐,食哂佢d油煙(真係好勁),仲話冇得取消,要融雪(唔通d鵝肝要融3個鐘,我都要等嗎?)

雞掌那片肉跟軟組織竟然可以這麼大塊,用來做串燒非常有口感,味道則與雞軟骨分別不大。
(11) 紫蘇葉雞脾肉串
紫蘇葉的香,雞脾肉的滑,加上梅子醬的酸甜醒胃,不可不試。
(12) 特別版燒雞軟骨
師父見咱們吃得高興,拿出特別儲存、每隻雞脾只得一粒的雞軟骨請咱們吃。這顆軟骨沒有中間硬硬的白色組織,其煙韌口感卻是有增無減,味道亦比平時吃到的香濃。這小小的兩串已用了14隻雞脾,非常矜貴。

警告:接下來的食物全是美味非凡,罪惡指數爆燈,愛好健康飲食人仕不宜,兒童需要家長指引輔導。
(13)「罪惡」鵝肝雙蛋飯
"雙蛋"指的是一碗飯有兩隻雞蛋,並非有兩種蛋。泛着動人的油光的鵝肝,與雙荷包蛋搞碎,香上加香;配合醬料混在飯中,吃着又濕潤又黏口,滿嘴都是叫人又愛又恨的膽固醇,現在想起都垂涎三尺,真是短兩年壽命都不枉啊!

在OpenRice裏的食評,無論對餐廳是褒是貶,大家都異口同聲大讚此菜出色。切得厚厚的牛脷,口感是無比的鬆軟嫩滑,咬下去汁液四濺,把串燒的精神發揮到淋漓盡致。即使很飽,咱們也必要「安哥」多叫一客。

蕃茄燒得熱哄哄的,茄汁又甜又豐滿,與軟綿綿的煙肉味道混為一體,絲絲入扣,非常好吃!

必吃之選。粟米甜到入心,爽脆之極,再加上大大塊又香又罪惡的蒜蓉牛油,慢慢溶解在誘人的金黃色上,又是一個要「安哥」的餸菜。

燒鵝肝是必要「安哥的」。Michael自創另一種吃法,把燒飯團中心挖空,放進燒得香噴噴鵝肝,是為「鵝肝Rice Burger」。
配着飯團一起吃,減少了鵝肝的油膩;卻想不到飯團燒得極好,帶有香烤味道卻又不會太乾身,結果大家又再來一個飯團。

好滿足的一餐!這麼多的食物,七人吃得飽到不能動彈,連飲料小費共HK$3500(日本清酒自擕),在銅鑼灣區絶對不算昂貴。
細小餐館外掛着"只招待會員"的牌子,其實什麼人都可以去吃。每晚只做兩轉,第二轉在九時開始,也不會太難預留座位。

這是一家隱世的店, 大廈門口是在一條後巷. 其他的店舖都是日式卡拉ok酒吧,而且爐端燒的格局原就比較昏暗 - 如果單身女子的話便不敢進吧...雖然前菜盛惠四十而清酒盛惠九十五, 但整體來說價錢還說合理. 一大串, 厚厚的牛舌和鰻魚是必食推介, 絕對超值。厚身的牛舌很有嚼勁, 調味也恰到好處。鰻魚也不是平常見扁薄塗著醬汁, 而是像白鱔連著皮厚燒. 皮燒得脆, 肉則彈牙, 汁也配合. 這兩道絕對是必吃之選。另外, 雞翼和雞皮也不俗; 粟米塗上了香草牛油後惹味非常; 炒什菜則抵食大碟。還有鵝肝雙蛋飯, 雖偏貴但那種滑和香實在是非常美好.每人只吃四串串燒, 分享了一碟菜和一個飯, 但已是吃不下的飽! 絕對是可再去的店!我們坐吧檯,看到師傅燒羊排和牛肋骨也是非常吸引,下次該一大班朋友,逐樣地試!

雖然前菜盛惠四十而清酒盛惠九十五, 但整體來說價錢還說合理. 一大串, 厚厚的牛舌和鰻魚是必食推介, 絕對超值。厚身的牛舌很有嚼勁, 調味也恰到好處。鰻魚也不是平常見扁薄塗著醬汁, 而是像白鱔連著皮厚燒. 皮燒得脆, 肉則彈牙, 汁也配合. 這兩道絕對是必吃之選。
另外, 雞翼和雞皮也不俗; 粟米塗上了香草牛油後惹味非常; 炒什菜則抵食大碟。還有鵝肝雙蛋飯, 雖偏貴但那種滑和香實在是非常美好.

每人只吃四串串燒, 分享了一碟菜和一個飯, 但已是吃不下的飽! 絕對是可再去的店!
我們坐吧檯,看到師傅燒羊排和牛肋骨也是非常吸引,下次該一大班朋友,逐樣地試!

五月十九‧晴雨不定 去幫眼,很快就完成任務。朋友說想吃點東西,我之後也有飯局,那就去吃燒鳥吧。那知她說,很多銅鑼灣區的燒鳥店也試過了,有沒有她未去過的?就來這裡吧! 這幢大廈以往也盛極一時,是最早期的日式夜店的集中地。現在招牌依舊,人面已全非,而我們去的燒鳥店子,就在9樓。這裡說是只招待會員,但其實如果有位,是任何人也可以幫襯。一推門,煙霧迷漫,是串燒的油煙加上煙民的炊煙,如果想要點清新空氣的,這裡絕不適合。不過我這等慣蒲居酒屋的,當然沒有問題。 就坐在吧檯的一端,可以看到幾位師傅在忙碌的工作,單是燒爐也有兩個,陣容不錯的。先來啤酒,這裡沒有生啤及樽啤,只有朝日罐啤,沒有法子,唯有喝這個,還好是夠凍,而杯子也是雪冰了的; 點了幾款串燒,但燒製需時,就來點下酒小吃,炸芝士併炸雞塊好吃,炸雞塊也好吃,這兩款炸物,是香口的下酒良品;燒雞翼、雞皮好吃是意料中事,是日也要了燒雞掌肉,爽脆彈牙;燒牛舌厚厚的,有豐腴油香。外邊燒得香口,最後再來一個燒飯糰,滿足矣。 這裡容許吸煙,也真的是人手一支煙的,怕聞煙味的要留意。 埋單三百,不便宜,但串燒及其他食物,是有水準又好吃的。想看足本食評及食物相片,請

如果你是喜歡吃串燒的,lee 間都係其中一間值得一試嘅爐端燒位置雖然有d僻(o係條up doub 巷裡面嘅一棟up doub building),但係裡面都ok...平日幾個人walk in都有位,但係Sat 就要book la 因為都幾full   *注意Sunday 係close ga*一坐低佢會俾個煙三文魚+ 薯蓉嘅前菜你,幾特別ga 佢個厚切燒牛脷好味!! very juicy & 好有口感~~ 燒牛肋骨肉都唔差,半分夠2-3個人食,個味幾好不過有少少韌其他燒物同天婦羅 overall 都唔錯 ga~~ 但沙律就不太好la..唔知係唔係禁啱我碟有苦 我下次會試下鵝肝蛋飯^^

佢個厚切燒牛脷好味!! very juicy & 好有口感~~

燒牛肋骨肉都唔差,半分夠2-3個人食,個味幾好不過有少少韌
其他燒物同天婦羅 overall 都唔錯 ga~~

但沙律就不太好la..唔知係唔係禁啱我碟有苦
