Named after the esteemed 19th century British artist, George Chinnery who has dedicated over 50 years of his life capturing portraits and landscapes of India, Macau and Hong Kong. The Chinnery pays tribute to his illustrious life filled with discoveries, colours and flavours, and narrates a nostalgic memoir of Hong Kong’s colonial era, a place where the past and present harmoniously coexist.



This beloved establishment has been a cornerstone of Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong since its opening in 1963. It was one of the first of its time, serving traditional British-Indian cuisine and has maintained much of its original decor to preserve the essence and historic charm that have drawn generations of patrons. The Chinnery exudes the classic elegance of British colonial style and continues to offer an intimate retreat for those seeking a moment of tranquillity in the bustling city of Hong Kong, blending historical charm with timeless sophistication.



The Chinnery Bar remains renowned for its extensive collection of over 120 rare single-malt whiskies, and classic cocktails served by members of a veteran staff known for their exceptional personalised service.

昨天是老婆的生日,我約了三個朋友來祝賀一下。因為我是CENTRAL+會員,在會員有效期的一年內是有一個生日蛋糕和一瓶香檳贈送,剛好昨天晚上就用得上了。這餐廳環境不錯,雖然是英式設計,但牆壁上就掛上法國人像油畫。我們昨天也是坐在今年梁特首過生日的同一個桌子上用餐。餐廳不單氣氛濃厚,食物和服務都會駛到客人再來光顧。 continue reading

我老闆帶我嚟到咗文華東方酒店第一次——係啊,我係一個鄉下仔!呢度唔算好大;係緊湊同舒適嘅。我就咁行入去,完全唔使等位坐吧枱。經理令我感覺好似喺自己屋企咁舒服。我哋首先試咗samasa,驚訝嘅係佢哋好大但味道絕佳。醬汁真係提升咗呢道菜嘅水平;冇咗佢,我覺得佢哋可能就係普通嘅。至於主菜,我揀咗炸魚薯條。天啊,呢個係我食過最好嘅炸魚薯條!識我嘅人都知,我通常唔食魚,但呢個真係與眾不同。麵衣薄脆,唔油膩。啖到魚肉時,依然多汁嫩滑—佢點樣做到咁保持得咁濕潤呢?我連佢哋提供嘅靚靚檸檬都唔使碰;我可以每日食呢道菜!我老闆揀咗牧羊人批—我諗係咁叫。唔好意思,雖然唔錯,但我就係唔識點樣欣賞呢道菜。不過,我肯定對喜歡呢個嘅人嚟講係好嘅選擇。總括而言,我喺文華東方嘅體驗非常愉快。溫馨嘅氣氛、親切嘅員工同出色嘅食物令呢次訪問難忘。我迫不及待想再返嚟探索更多佢哋嘅菜單! continue reading

千日里這個名字令人想起一日千里,發展迅速的世界,但其實它是 Chinnery 的中文譯名。文華 The Chinnery 以英國畫家 George Chinnery 命名,餐廳裝潢充滿英式會所/ 酒吧風格,亦提供多種英國特色 signature dishes 我哋叫咗兩杯 Signature cocktails: Breakfast martini, Chinnery bramble 兩杯都好易入口,breakfast martini 是我喜歡的 citric favour; Chinnery bramble 有少少 spicy 的龍舌蘭味,比較特別,值得一試Lamb samosa:英國菜其中一道名菜 - 羊肉餡餅,外皮非常鬆脆,裡面羊肉餡充滿香料味,配上薄荷醬汁,好正的小食,份量都算多 Cocktail:龍蝦、牛油果、生菜,我喜歡的元素都包括在這沙律之中,配上檸檬汁和沙律醬,好開胃 Tikka chicken with rice:本來想試下 tandoori chicken,但侍應哥哥推介這個無骨版本 - tikka chicken,雞肉都幾嫩滑,香辣醬汁撈飯一流,餐廳還準備了五款不同醬汁給我們自己添加,非常貼心 好多選擇嘅 sauces: 個人推介 mint & mango Spiced pear chocolate cake:餐廳的菜式份量幾慷慨,雖然食到好飽,但都要試吓呢度嘅甜品,我哋揀咗呢款特別嘅 spiced pear chocolate cake,梨的份量沒有想像中咁多,反而朱古力味非常濃郁,蛋糕質地幾濕潤,整體上都好好食 continue reading
