早在十一月尾到這餐廳就已經可以嚐到聖誔午餐了。選了牛仔面頰肉。肉質雖然算軟,但沒有肉味,而且又好像不是很新鮮似的。肉絲一條一條的,好像是經過太長的時間烹調所引致的。所以味道也流失了,不能說是可口的。甜品是傳統的聖誔包加雪糕,其實因為是飯後甜品,一個麵包,雖然是甜的,也真的是over 了一點,很難叫人可以好好地享受。這個甜品叫人有點失望了一點。

I passed by the restaurant and saw the lunch set (2 courses) priced at 128, so I went in for lunch. The moment I sit in, the waiter came to ask me: sparkling or still water. I passed by the restaurant and saw the lunch set (2 courses) priced at 128, so I went in for lunch. The moment I sit in, the waiter came to ask me: sparkling or still water. I was like, ok, sparkling water then, didnot think that much. 
Look back to the menu, I chose one appetizer and one main. You need to pay extra 28 for any drinks. I was thinking to order orange juice, the waiter told me that I have already ordered sparkling water. So I was like " ok I paid 28 for the sparkling water, should have asked for still water then, which is free for sure.  But OK, Iet it be".  After 2 simple dishes, btw, salad of which is pretty bad, I asked for the bill.

The bill turns out to be HKD246 in total  with 68 charged by the sparkling water.  I was surprised and asked for clarification, and then the waiter pointed to the end of the menu, under drink list,  where the XXXXX sparkling water is priced at 68. To clarify, people only need to add 28 for coffee, tea or any other soft drinks while you have to pay 68 for the sparkling water, which is asked  tgr with still water at the very beginning when I sit down, making you feel that it should be free as still water. And I did not notice the price of the sparkling water at all since it is at the end of the menu and the waiter asked me to choose between sparkling and still water before I even got a chance to check out the menu.

I have to say it is very unreasonable for treating customers by asking them "still or sparkling water" while you never tell the customers the price difference between ordering still and sparkling water. I do think this behavior, amounting to be some kinda ill-intended "restaurant tradition", should be forbidden unless you made your customers perfectly aware beforehand of the difference between asking for sparkling and still water.  The whole experience is awful for me and I will never go to this restaurant again!

TiVo is very good for business lunch. Set lunch price is very reasonable. 138hkd for a decent 3 course meal. I would highly recommend. Not very crowded during lunch hour. Really good choice if you forget to make reservation in Central. Would definitely come back next time!

Normally when I am early for dinner I go to cafes and have a drink but it is hard getting a seat because everyone is having a drink.I tried out Tivo because I was on Wynham street, drinks were only $55 and they had mocktails as well.The drinks include a canapes buffet which is quite good.I really liked the olives because they were big and juicy.The lychee blossom that I had was refreshing with a strong lychee taste.

The presentation of this appetiser is great. The parma ham is smooth and lightly-salted. Salad is fresh and seasoned with olive oil. The pumpkin pastry also has a hot crusty exterior and a sweet and smooth interior consisting of chunks of fresh pumpkin.

Pan-seared snapper with sauteed vegetable
The snapper is pan-seared till it is lightly browned. It is simply seasoned with sea salt and complemented with a refreshing lemon butter sauce. The texture of the fish is smooth and soft and tastes succulent fresh. Generous serving of the sauteed vegetable also brings a freshness to the dish. A very balanced and healthy dish indeed.

Grilled steak with mashed potato 
Ordered the grilled steak medium-rare. The meat is thinly cut and grilled perfectly. It is warm through the middle with a hint of red. The steak is tender and juicy, with a very meaty gravy that complemented the steak. The grilled tomatoes are also juicy and appetising, bringing a freshness to the dish. The mashed potato is blended with warmed butter and milk to create a rich and creamy texture. A great and filling side dish that goes well with the main.

Overall, it was a really satisfying meal. The ambience is great and the quality of the food is above standard. Service is also friendly and efficient. Would definitely visit this place again.

見到valrhona就忍不住點了。但也是很失望,很普通的朱古力蛋糕。公平點說,雖與預期有落差,但蛋糕都夠濕潤,口感不算太差。反而上面的mascarpone挽回點分數,很香濃奶味,很滑。

友人點了奶凍,試了一口,很後悔沒有點這個,幾好食。很重的雲尼拿味,而且很軟滑。

服務普通,店員動作生硬,上湯時差點把湯弄翻。在中環的午飯時間,分秒必爭,這裡上菜太慢。食物普通,地段也不算方便,以這價錢有不少其他選擇,難怪午市時間人客也不多。

Pan-fired Foie Gras with poached tofu, sautéed arugula, muscated grape and black truffle veal jus。鵝肝幾肥美,軟滑無筋,可是略嫌煎得不夠香口。有別於平常用帶甜點味的醬汁,這裡用了黑松露牛肉汁去伴吃鵝肝,可是這個醬汁有點濃,而且不太吃得出有黑松露味道,與本身已經有點漏的鵝肝併在一起,反而有點over了,還好的是有些爽甜的提子去中和一下。另外就是實在沒有想過會用豆腐來配鵝肝吃,豆腐很滑溜,其實與那個牛肉汁幾夾,倒不如把兩者分開上,變兩款小頭盤可能會更好。

Handcrafted Scallop and Prawn Ravioli with tomato, basil herbs and jasmine tomato tea。吃的時候沒有看食物的名字,回來見到的竟然是jasmine tomato tea! 當時我把這個清湯稱為不辣的淡味冬陰公,沒想到店家卻取名為茉莉蕃茄茶。這清湯的確很特別,味道還可以,只是身邊的友人似乎不太欣賞,覺得味道怪怪。四隻自家製的Ravioli,我還以為是蟹肉餡,原來是帶子和蝦,但口感的確似一絲絲的蟹肉呢,不過以自家製Ravioli來說,挺好吃的呢,不過放在這裡湯茶裡,還不如煮個濃郁的忌廉汁。

Pan-fried Sea Bream fillet with sautéed spinach, Pancetta, cuttlefish and smoked squid ink sauce。主菜二選一,我和鬆弛當然一人選一個。煎鯛魚的魚皮煎得不錯,呈金黃色,而且頗香脆,只是魚肉不怎麼滑,有點嚡。黑黑的墨魚汁帶點鹹香,伴著鯛魚吃也不錯的,還有的是菠菜有點鹹。

Roasted Australia Lamb with braised aubergine, rocket, tomato relish and goat milk foam。羊肉在上檯前已經切成一件件,落單的時候店員並沒有問我們想要什麼生熟程度,幸好出來是大概七八成熟,肉仍然保留一定粉嫰。肉質還好,可是丁點羊羶味都沒有,幾乎不覺得是在吃羊肉呢。值得一讚的是墊在羊肉下面的茄子,煮得綿軟又入味,羊肉的肉汁流進茄子裡,非常好吃呢。

Passion fruit parfait with baby basil, strawberry and pistachio soil。上檯的時候我們都以為是雪糕,但原來是parfait,其實parfait是一種以雞蛋和忌廉為主要材料的甜品,口感與雪糕相近。這個熱情果芭菲,奶味幾重,反而熱情果的酸甜味就不太突出,Parfait灑了一些綠色的碎碎,那些其實是開心果蛋糕碎,吃的時候可以增加口感。伴碟的士多啤梨醬太甜,味道太人工,裝飾的士多啤梨也是酸的。

到了十點多,人們開始來到蘭桂坊喝酒,餐廳裡面音樂也越開越大,實在不太適合大夥兒談天,所以我們吃飽又交換禮物過後,都開始陸續離開。離開時,男士們都說要去吃下一場,說不夠飽,份量方面其實我覺得還可以,只能說主菜份量偏小,所以男士可能會覺得不夠飽。食物方面就不過不失吧,還是那一句,始終主打喝酒的地方,賣酒水才是最賺錢的地方,食物好不好吃反而是其次呢。

It isn't just some grass with a piece of ham, the salad was really refreshing, particularly good on a Friday! The spring roll was beautiful, and served hot and crispy, impressive.

I ordered a salmon for entree, it was really good, the mushroom was just the right thing to put underneath.

and honestly, the salmon was cooked perfectly. Pan seared salmon are often undercooked.

For just $120, I think its worth a second visit, but we mates might have to save up a bit before coming back, sadly!

Tivo is like its name, the perfect place for a light alcoholic drink before lunch or dinner. Great drinks great food, you got it all in one restaurant.

Service 不錯, 冷天會主動問要 warm or cold water. Take order 亦清楚無錯, 上菜亦快 (應是因為客人不多). 地方較暗但很有 style, 是他們的特色. Worth to recommend, good choice for a cozy lunch.

一個星期二的晚上,一對戀人在中環蘭桂坊漫步,在Tivo餐廳外,被出面的「超級星期二」招牌吸引入去......這就是我倆這樣冒失失入去這間餐廳過二人世界的一刻。這間餐廳逢星期一及星期二,晚餐(包括主菜/意粉/薄餅)均有買一送一優惠(以較高架為準)。我倆同時點了一客安格斯牛柳(半熟),點了以後,就去拿了出面Bar枱的小食,有兩款水欖、迷你春卷、意大利腸和一款不知名,但香口的小食,女朋友話後者較辣呢!牛柳端上了,口感很嫩滑,肉汁豐富,而配上的薯蓉及配菜份量又恰到好處,吃吃下便感覺飽了。因為是「超級星期二」,兩碟主菜只需一碟價錢,倒也挺抵食的,只是有多少人會留意這些優惠呢?勿被很高貴的門面,就認定是很昂貴,只要留心的去看,隨時會有驚喜!最後,多謝女朋友這樣細心的推介!
