I was at a loose end this evening and in the IFC so decided to go for a quiet steak. It was around 7pm but they seated me immediately in a quiet comfortable corner (I was alone). They had a decent selection of wine by the glass so I had a glass of tempranillo, which turned out to be a good choice. 自從成家立室之後, 真正未出來酒吧浦過. 是日晚上有飲宴. 能早放工的我就約下友人. 一齊happy hour一下, 搵個籍口, 啤啤佢.其實是日狀態不太好的, 感冒初癒, 胃口沒有的, 中午飯買了一支平平地既酒之後便沒有進食. 直至放工. 去食飯之前, 才來試下啤啤. 再搞份著條, 暖一暖胃. 同朋友一樣, 來杯 "人上人" 黑啤. 朋友沒留意drink menu 上寫的是Daught Can, 吧內的一個假tap, 令人錯覺呢度有生啤(Guiness)賣. 到頭來發現只是罐裝而令他大感失望. 同埋, 於味道上, 氣泡上, 罐裝的健力士同新鮮的健力士係差好遠的. 反而Lager類啤酒就冇咁明顯既對比.我的肚子是空虛的, 香港酒吧好興送小食佐酒. 而呢度既小食就是薯片一客. 我就另外叫多一份芝士薯條. 填一填肚, 好讓酒下肚. 薯片不知是什麼貨色, 比較厚身, 一樣香脆非常. 用薯片送酒總好過用花生及其他nuts. 因為真係可以頂肚同唔傷胃. 另外的薯條, $38一份. 但比預期的細份好多. 一杯仔薯氣. 等同老M既size. 不過, 係中區既商場酒吧, 係要收你一個premium架啦

Had dinner with my friend last night at Union Grill. Haven't had good Western food for a long time, so decided to try out the ceasar salad and the potato skins. My friend went for the grilled steak pasta. The ceasar salad, as shown in the picture above, was delicious. Nicely-made bread blended with the meat. The taste was not too sour either. As for the potato skins dish, it was again very delicious. The texture of the skin was not too thick or coarse and the potatoes themselves were soft.

約左位好耐冇見ge律師朋友食飯，大家都係中環返工，於是決定去IFC. 上次同mentor黎食過呢間，覺得唔錯，於是介紹朋友黎。 我地約左10月2日星期五晚，因為知道第二日係公眾假期，會比較多人，所以預早book定位。 我地遲左10分鐘，但booking可以hold15分鐘。 一坐好就有侍應奉上麵包同牛油，麵包ok好味，外脆內軟。因為之後仲有下場，我地冇叫頭盤。 但根據上次經驗，Potato Skins 係不錯選擇，薯皮上舖上芝士，好香口，如果飲紅酒前食會不錯。 我叫左上次叫過geFillet Mignon 6oz, 煙肉捲住的牛柳，配red wine sauce，我鍾意先食牛柳再食煙肉，因為煙肉比較鹹，怕會搶左牛肉ge鮮味，牛柳7成熟，肉味鮮甜，又唔會太硬。 朋友叫左Norwegian Salmon，賣相幾好。 由於將近萬聖節，餐廳內到處都係Halloween 裝飾，氣氛唔錯。 但門口隔離的bar area有不少人聚會，多人ge時候會幾嘈，所以唔鍾意嘈ge人就唔係咁適合。埋單都係400幾蚊，唔算好貴。 下次一定再黎。

與幾個好耐無見嘅舊朋友，係睇戲前係度食午餐。這是一個聊天的好地方。環境都是光線昏暗，又幾浪漫。坐位很寬敞，舒適。食物方面，有免費的麵包，外殼很香脆而裏面很軟。只食麵飽都已是享受。另有雞肉凱撒沙律，BBQ Pork Burger & Chips, 冬菇黑松露意大利飯。沙律：不錯，很多雞肉而不太乾漢堡飽：用豬脾肉，看以煲完湯的肉，但另外煎過，味道剛好，燒汁味濃而有點濕度，我猜不是人人喜歡濕，但我覺不錯。此外還有煮過熟洋蔥絲（但我不吃的）。意大利飯：有大大塊芝士片係飯上面。菇汁濃而多，很香。但就我而言，我不喜歡大粒蒜頭，無論幾熟都好。夥計醒目，不用叫就會自動奉上清水與牙簽。有點滯，坐得舒服過頭，有點睡意。

話哂都起國金入面既餐廳, 環境應該有番咁上下水準, 呢度都係第一次黎食, 叫左set lunch, $98, 包salad or soup, 另有幾款main比你揀, 我地叫左菠蘿火腿扒, BBQ half chicken, 個雞仲要有薯條伴碟, 薯條好好味,唔淋, 雞肉嫩口唔痴牙唔鞋, 火腿扒我就無試過, 而菠蘿就係用罐頭菠蘿既, 所以呢道好似麻麻地餐湯係磨菇湯, 都好好味, 食之前都有比餐飽我地既, 不過唔知係咪人多喇, 等佢上菜都等左好耐

遲遲未寫, 因為當晚點了太多種類, 要借助食友的食評來一用 Baked Idaho Potato Skins - 薯皮, 乾身而且油膩。Signature Chicken Wings – 因為怕弄髒玉(肉)手, 所以放棄唔食 Wild Mushroom and Black Truffle Risotto – 我最愛既澱粉質食物 野菇味香濃，夠Creamy (對我則over了點) 食友說risotto太軟身,但對無牙小女子如我而言就剛好 Smokehouse BBQ U.S.A Baby Back Ribs – 每人只可能嘗一小條，燒烤醬微辣夠惹味，但份量太小食唔出美味 Wagyu premium burger – 自問好小食Burger, 先聲奪人, 因巨形而開心, 更多謝食友為我們耐心分配, 但我們內心也急切地等食 ….肉汁有點, 但不豐富, 此終喜歡一口咬下的快感, 是次要分拆來食, 表現不到各位的豪氣來, Vegetarian Spaghetti - 酸酸味味, 加上野菇類與蔬菜, 印象中都幾好 還有其他…. 唔寫啦 Warm up 過後, 來我們期待的甜品(主菜)
