甜品每天都會轉,這天是Rum chocolate jubilee ,它的口感實在,看似很邪惡其實不太甜,反而中間的朱古力不錯,味道淡淡的,但份量算多呢。

這裡另一個特色就是調酒師調的cocktail很不錯,而且他推介的都真的很適合你口味,不喜歡甜的我選擇了這款bubble比較多的調酒,它的味道確實好清新,讓你能集中品嚐酒香,也容易入口。

朋友喜歡甜度高的調酒,她喝的這杯荔枝味好強烈,而且甜度明顯比我的好很多,荔枝果香蓋過酒味,適合不太能接受酒精強度的朋友。

There are two floors in the restaurant and we are arranged to a high table with bar chairs on the upper one. The table is a bit small but fortunately they paced the dishes one after the other so it is manageable. The design is hip, and I in particular like an art piece at the back featuring the look-alikes of well-known people in this century together on a photo.

The staff helpfully recommends to us several of the signature dishes. To start we have Pani Puri ($58), where we create a hole in the thin crispy baked dough to stuff with potato and beans, then add with a mint-coriander dressing. The refreshing minty flavours and acidity of the dressing is appetizing. And while the fillings might seem simple, they are very rich in taste, so overall a wonderful starter on all aspects.

The other starter we ordered is Samosa Chaat ($118). The crispy samosa has aloo, onions and peas for fillings, spices to add to complexity and flavours. It is topped with tamarind, yoghurt chutney, and pomegranate. Another nice dish with wide range of enjoyment, the heat from the spice balanced well by the chutney so not creating any trouble even for those who cannot take much spiciness.

Before the big plates, we have Sweet Potato Fries ($45), served with truffle mayo. I am pleasantly surprised at how good they are, with the golden-brown colour of the fries so appealing in appearance, with a slight sweetness in taste. The mayo is also fantastic, having the touch of truffle note but not too much, and after finishing all you do not feel greasy at all.

The Panang ‘Dry’ Tofu ($138) has the chef preparing the dry style Panang curry, using plenty of shallots and other ingredients, as a sauce on the seared tofu, then adding peanuts and coriander on top. The sauce has a nice savoury note to complement with the more delicate taste of the tofu, and the dish has the signature comfort South East Asian flavours making us feel familiar.

The Aloo Gobi ($168) is a classic vegetarian dish. The roasted cauliflower and potatoes are mixed with curry leaf pesto and a coconut and lentil sauce, garnished with cashew nuts. The cauliflower and potatoes have absorbed the delicious curry, prepared with different spices and herbs in addition to the coconut and lentil. Again, this simple dish has so much flavours that is bewildering. 

We skip the dessert as we are too full already, and throughout the meal the service is nice, with the staff friendly and helpful. Another great gesture is that they offer my wife a complimentary tea/coffee to go with meal. Together with two glasses of wine, the bill is $873 which is very reasonable. If you believe vegetarian dishes are boring and without flavour, you should check this out and I think it will change your perspective.

The polenta balls were stuffed with generous amount of cheese. They were deep fried till crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It was topped with lots of shaved Parmesan and truffle mayo which gave it a cheesy and fragrant kick!

The momo is a dumpling with homemade ricotta and spinach fillings. The dumpling skin is thin yet chewy. The steamed dumpling paired up perfectly with the refreshing tangy tomato chutney which is slightly sour and spicy. It is a refreshing and appetising dish!

The samosa is really crispy yet not overly oily. It is topped with generous amount of yogurt chutney, tamarind and pomegranate. I really like their use and choice of mixed spices and they compliment really well with the samosa. The portion was huge, so it is a good appetiser for sharing!

The Aloo Gobi was a baked cauliflower with curry and lentil sauce and crispy potatoes. The curry sauce has a strong fragrant coconut flavour and a sweet aftertaste. The Indian spices also had a distinct flavour. The dish was really filling so it is also good for sharing!

🍳Big Plate: Truffled Huevos Masala $198
The dish is a variation of the traditional Spanish omelette made with aloo masala. The omelette has potato like texture with a hint of Indian spices. I really like the creamy truffle foam and shaved truffle topped on the dish. The truffle aroma is fragrant and strong and it matched really well with the cheese and omelette. This is definitely the MVP of the night ♥️

Each dosa is served with the same condiment, the coconut chutney is absolutely delicious, I can eat that on its own. The sambhar stew is a repeat to the earlier dish (quite cost efficient for the kitchen..😅)

Brunch offers unlimited dosas, of course we sample all types, I don’t think anyone can order anything further after 4 huge dosas 😂 They are like giant pancakes with different savory fillings. We like the avocado salad the most, and the bold pungent spicy eggplant is very good too. Dosas are crispy on the edges with slight chew, served hot which is excellent.

Desserts include vegan matcha red bean cake which rather dry and forgettable. Lime sorbet is quite sweet, would’ve preferred more lime zesty flavor, but this is definitely icy and refreshing.

試咗幾樣印度傳統食品幾得意。 Samosa Chaat 以餡角配上羅望子、乳酪酸辣醬同石榴,少少辣幾惹味;Silk Route Momos 係菠菜加Ricotta 餡嘅餃子,本身味道好清淡,配濃郁番茄酸辣醬唔會好膩;Portobello Rice 係搭印度椰香咖喱食,食前可按自己喜好加鮮檸檬汁,好味;小食Blue Cheese Kulcha 同Sweet Potato Fries一樣驚喜,非常香濃,食唔停口 😋

甜品我地叫咗 Poached Pear 同 G'Jam Cake。個G'Jam Cake真係驚為天人 🤯 佢係 印度炸乳酪球 Gulab Jamun 嘅變奏版,整塊蛋糕浸係藏紅花糖漿,上面撒滿香口鬆脆嘅開心果和杏仁!成件事跟本為我而切 🥰 男友只係食咗幾啖,因為其他被我食晒 💗💗💗

VEDA 嘅雞尾酒都好出色架,我鍾意佢地會拎個小木盒俾你揀嘢飲,今次試咗 White Lady / The Sazarac / Laplace's Demon / Lorenz Attractor,我個人覺得White Lady清甜比較適合女仔 🍸

餐廳服務好好,侍應好用心解釋我地唔常見嘅菜單,bartender亦都有嚟問吓飲品點樣,整晚氣氛好好。有機會要試埋 @ovolohotels_hk 旗下其他餐廰。

今次覺得食材普通 D汁sauce可能係有小小特別(特別辣🤣)素食 @vedahk 最開心係個甜品 如果經過 要幫襯Momo (VEDA Classic)呢個真係伏, 普通菜餃, 加咗ricotta cheese😶Dried tofu 開始懷疑係咪我地唔識menu 呢碟好似紅燒豆腐 笑咗Khao Suey 呢個稍微好滴 但用咗河粉代替 配上椰菜花 又變咗青咖哩 個人覺得轉變太多Chai Masala Burnt Cheesecake ♥️♥️♥️原來呢個先係重點🥰年度最有驚喜甜品!cheese濃度剛好 加咗自家cranberry jam 蛋糕中間生小小 外層有burnt 入口即化 完美🫶真係要去 have a drink and the chai masala cheesecake only 👌
