型格和風餐廳酒吧。食物選擇貴精不貴多。提供日式創新料理,質素不錯,性價比合理。7/10Contemporary Japanese cuisine.Cool alfresco dining available.Reasonably priced.Worth a try if you are in the area.7/10 一向只喜歡去有門有派的傳統日本料理,但新一年決定開始再積極一點品嚐不同的日本餐廳。這天和同事在蘭桂坊喝酒後便試一試這新店。看格局和地點,我以為這店主打串燒,但完全估計錯誤。這店基本上完全沒有串燒。提供的可以說是創作料理,選擇不多:This is a new restaurant that has been opened for 3 months. We decided to try it out after drinking at Lan Kwai Fong. The place had a chic decor. We were allocated to a small indoor drinking area while we wait for a table.

This is a new restaurant that has been opened for 3 months. We decided to try it out after drinking at Lan Kwai Fong.
The place had a chic decor. We were allocated to a small indoor drinking area while we wait for a table. It was surprisingly packed even at 9:00 pm. There was a large al fresco area but no tables were set up probably because of the cold. So the restaurant was only left with about 10 tables for food.
My gut feeling was that this would be a yakitori bar. Contrary to my expectations, they barely had any yakitori.
As we were drinking (sochu for me and house red for others), I was tempted to leave because of the small selection of food. Fortunately, I didn't as the food turned out to be pretty decent.

Gyoza with cod and shrimp fillings : The first time I have ever seen this combination in a gyoza. I have to admit that this is a wonderful alternative to the traditional pork, chives and onion fillings. Great start for the evening.

The chopped up tempura shrimps were easy to eat and share. It's very similar to those served at Nobu. Unfortunately, the taste was too salty and the batter a tad oily. The batter used was not the traditional tempura batter. It was not too crisp.

African Okura: Generous portion. The timing was good. The Okuras were cooked just right. The amount of sauce used was also spot on, neither too light nor too soggy.

Tsukune: I wasn't aware of any chicken cartilage in these minced chicken balls on a spoon. The taste could have been richer. The chicken could perhaps be marinated for longer instead of just relying on sichimi and the raw egg for the taste.

King Crab and Uni rice hot pot: This was good. All the seafood had great umami. The rice was aromatic and cooked just right. On the other hand, the crab sauce was a bit too thick for my liking. The crab taste wasn't pronounced in the sauce, the soy sauce taste ran the risk of overwhelming the umami of the wonderful seafood. Perpahs it would have been better if less sauce was used and perhaps if sisho leaves were added instead. Nevertheless, still worth a try.

The pork ribs were wonderful. The timing was very good and the meat was tender and succulent. The surface was honey glazed so it tasted a bit like char siu. There was also a bit of chilli to give it that extra kick. Very good indeed.
Conclusion:
埋單每人約五百多元。以環境,地點來說很合理。如在附近可以一試。
The bill came down to about $550 per person, which I find reasonable in view of the location and quality of food. All in all, worth a visit if you are in the area. ("Koko" means "Here" in Japanese.)
