Yesterday, we went to Dbay for a short visit. Before we have gone there, we have been to Lamma in the morning. We took a full breakfast at Lamma. Well, we arrived DBay at near 2pm, we chose Hemingway's by chance, all the restaurants there look similar. We did read the menu through and found that there were veggie food for us. So just stepped inside the rest, I ordered one set of Veggie Skewer ($90 set lunch with salad) and the server there was found an impatient Filipino lady and she ran away after I'd ordered food.

After a few minutes, my friend ordered one Cubanisimo Veggie flat bread ($98 A rectanglar pizza-liked bread). This time, that server told us suddenly, according to the rest. rule, we cannot share the set lunch. (P.S. not marked on the menu)

We of course ignored this silly lady. We shared, and then the manager, an indian came to me and told that we couldn't share the set, otherwise the rest. would charge us extra cost ($80) for the shared dishes. I kept my politeness and requested him to give me a set of menu, then he was so pleased to do this. When he back and gave me the menu, I referred back to him, where had this 'no sharing' been put on the set lunch menu. Then the manager changed his speech again, oh, this is the company policy! Of course this time, I complained his impoliteness and I also complained to him that when I stepped inside the rest., I ordered this set even I hadn't sat down; at that moment, the staff said nothing about this 'policy'. After we'd finished ording, the 'policy' was then 'formed' or 'spelt out'. Though, eventually, this impolite manager said that he would allow us to share all our food, I told him "NO, thanks. I have no mood to share things now. I shared food for enjoyment but not depending on anyone granting me a favour." Then I ordered one simple salad for my personal use, and I told him I will SHARE this experience with others. To conclude, Hemingway's was really an 'author' of new but unfair 'policies'.

DON'T GO THERE IF YOUR ENGLISH IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH BECAUSE THEY WILL ARGUE WITH YOU.

DON'T GO THERE IF YOU WANT GOOD FOOD AND CHEERFUL EATING ENVIRONMENT.
