To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 一位朋友是超級牛魔, 無牛不歡, 約了數人到牛角午飯。我們點選的當然不乏各樣的牛, 沒料到其他食材都同樣出色。牛肋肉、牛舌、蒜香牛肉、牛仔骨之類, 牛的各款部位可盡情嚐透, 當中最喜愛的燒牛肉油脂分佈勻稱; 而店方更有不同醬汁配備, 甜的酸的辣的式式俱備, 燒過之後熱辣辣的香肉蘸它一蘸, 再放入口, 滋味指數達致頂點!雞肉及豬肉亦是肉汁豐盈, 絕不會經燒過後而乾身。鹽燒帶子以鍚紙兜盛著, 加入牛油, 燒起來份外的香, 惹味非常。燒蔬菜包含茄子、菇類、洋蔥及粟米, 瓜煩勁香脆, 洋蔥激香卻不會刺鼻、菇菌又腍又香, 好吃得小人連不吃蔬菜的朋友讓出來的那份也幹掉~~~ (^_-)溫泉蛋飯的溫泉蛋滑不溜口, 蛋香極濃, 珍珠飯上還鋪上大量香脆的紫菜, 一滑一爽, 是美味得可以單獨完成後再添的一碗飯!辣醬為平凡的豆腐起到畫龍點睛的作用, 加了辣醬後, 滑滑的豆腐頓時食味大增, 醒神得多。第一次試這間日式燒肉店, 已被林林總總的燒物吸引著。回味之極, 期待著下次再來!
