I hadn't been to Sai Wan in quite a while. This time I had a dinner date here and it was my dinner partner who brought me here. We had to walk upslope to get to the restaurant from the bus stop but there were escalators in the middle. The beef broth was quite clear yet tasty. The noodles were of the kind which was thin and smooth. They went great with the crispy bean sprouts and onion added to enhance texture. The broth was quite appetising after adding the lime and chilli served on the side. The soup should be free of MSG as none of us felt thirsty afterwards.

The two spring rolls were chopped into two pieces each. They were freshly deep fried with crispy and thin crust and ingredients were mostly veggies. There were 4 lettuce slices and some sauce on the side to cool down the spring rolls a bit. I ate one piece with lettuce and one without. Both bites were good. There were also some pickled carrot and radish slices in the middle of the dish.

There were 3 wings which smelt so good of garlic and butter. They were also freshly deep fried with super crispy crust and juicy flesh. There was some fresh veggies on the side. I think it was the best dish among all.
越式凍檸茶 at $26 and 越南桔仔甘蔗水 at $38
Drinks were a must to wash down deep fried food. Vietnamese style lemon tea seemed to have the lemon slices replaced by lime slices. It was not too sweet. 越南桔仔甘蔗水 was pretty rich in 桔仔 but not in cane. It was not overly sweet either.
Given the quality of food and location, prices seemed reasonable.
