To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 叫咗外賣自取,其中一個係牛腩米粉轉麻辣湯底,分湯上。麻辣湯底十分之油,面頭層油我諗有0.5cm厚,諗住算啦都正常嘅最多撇咗層油,點知倒麻辣湯落米粉時竟然發現個底好多渣!有發脹咗嘅米線碎、米粉碎,仲有一粒檸檬核!!!(申利:我冇叫檸檬飲品)我食咁多其他餐廳嘅外賣湯麵,從來都未見過湯底會有麵碎,因為一般湯底不是用來淥麵的,淥面同湯底係分開整,尤其係麻辣湯,冇可能會有咁多麵碎咁多雜質!!我有理由懷疑啲湯底係重用囉!真係痴線!我見到其他人啲comment話原來呢間餐廳係賺到盡,又用劣質食材,有冇攪錯呀你估係大陸咩?而家疫情咁嚴重你哋咁無良心咁黑心攪啲咁嘅嘢?!我完全接受唔到!諗起都想嘔,當時我好嬲即刻成碗麵倒咗,而家有啲後悔應該攞去驗下有冇其他人嘅DNA😓如果有証據我一定報食環!我以後一定唔會再幫襯呢間嘢!提醒大家小心!(張相影出來的麵碎已經算少咗因為有啲碎跌咗入碗中,本身仲多起碼一湯匙🙈)
