To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 星期六晚同男朋友兩口子,突然牛魔王病發作好想食牛肉!經過聯和墟呢間牛涮鍋,就決定入去試吓!我哋揀咗第二級嘅美國上級進口牛肉放題$188/位,另加一服務費,任食90分鐘。呢個餐包括左兩款牛肉,豚肉同雞肉粒單任叫,其他蔬菜及配料就可以去自助吧枱自取。一入座,餐廳已經會提供好一碟牛同一碟豚肉加雞合併迫你食,哈哈,呢款上級牛肉尚算唔錯入口都有牛味,但豚肉同雞肉就差左d 喇,豚肉完全無味,雞肉就鞋鞋地。而自助吧枱嘅食物就唔算太多選擇,其中最出色嘅就係日本豆腐,同唐山菜都係幾新鮮嘅。我哋最後只係食咗兩碟牛肉,因為柯達第三碟嘅時候,等左30分鐘都無嚟,中途已經問經理追單,但追追下又無咗蹤影,最後到埋單都無嚟過🙈呢個餐仲有蜜瓜乳酪雪糕同牛奶雪糕任食,但個蜜瓜乳酪雪糕一吱出嚟就已經好水,一大pat 咁,完全唔咁食🤦🏻‍♀️總括嚟講,只係醫飽肚嘅一餐。
