Restaurant: Chong Fat Chiu Chow Restaurant

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 難得請客、當然不能失禮,先來一隻凍蟹(中 $800)、一隻龍蝦(中 $800)。 其實都覺得有點貴,因為一向食海鮮都是在三勝找偉哥買料、然後自家烹調。 不過創發的凍蟹確是高一級,羔白肉甜,龍蝦亦實肉,六個人不消一刻便把頭盤消滅了。 之後來的只有普通餸菜;但簡簡單單的菜式更顯老店廚師的功力。荀蝦粿皮彈餡靚,之前來幾次都未有嘗過半口,今次一試已成日後必點菜之一! 煎牙帶,材料的新鮮加上師傅的功力,滿分。炆齋菜亦是驚喜之作,材料入味而且有咬口,並沒有那種爛溶的口感。反沙芋當然是好吃;可惜是糖水、薑薯的份量不多。是晚服務滿分,功夫茶亦上了四轉,當然明白是因為一蟹一蝦的功勞。其實創發食物質素是高,可惜是服務問題令人卻步。雖然下次未必可以再扮豪客,不過天生面皮厚的我,仍會為美食而再來的。你呢?
