To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 富臨在鯉魚門開業約一年,訂枱時酒家職員說明會提供兩小時免費泊車服務,原來泊在富臨對面露天停車場,心想都方便攞車。餐牌只有兩款套餐選擇,散叫選擇並不多,老人家想吃乳豬,但無乳豬拚盤,便叫了一隻乳豬,額外叫一個套餐,不久傳菜阿姐端上一隻燒乳豬(完整未片皮切件),接下來更精彩,女待應拿出鉸剪將乳豬剪成大塊 ,乳豬肥肉多過瘦肉,我們都是第一次吃鉸剪燒乳豬,為免老人家不快,我們沒有投訴但心裏有數,蒸鮮鮑魚仔、蒜茸粉絲蒸元貝(粉絲多元貝細)、椒鹽瀬尿蝦(蝦肉並不新鮮,有勬點誨)、椒鹽焗蟹(蟹膏算多)、清蒸海斑(不過不失)、珍珠鷄(茶市剩餘物資👎),最後仲欠碟清炒時菜遲遲未到,我們催促了6次,足足等了40分鐘才上炒菜,就剛剛過了兩小時免費泊車時限,要額外付每小時泊車費$36,大家才明白究竟發生什麼事了!
