To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今晚我約咗親戚嚟九龍灣嘅皇室1號食中秋節飯,入到去都見到好多人食,想必呢一間酒樓嘅水準都唔錯。金銀菜燉白肺湯  $128近排好少飲湯水,所以嚟到就叫咗一個清熱嘅白肺湯。呢一個白肺湯有好多菜乾煮成,仲有原隻雞,所以飲落去除咗好濃菜乾味,亦都好香雞味。豬肺洗得非常乾淨,一啲異味都冇,好好飲。蠔皇八頭鮑魚扣金錢 四位  $107佢嘅鮑魚同埋冬菇都非常大粒, 冬菇超級厚身,食落去啖啖都係肉,而佢嘅鮑魚應該用咗蠔油去煮,食落去好鮮,好香。竹笙羅漢上素  $78呢一碟蔬菜有好多唔同嘅種類,包括有雲耳,竹笙,芽菜,菜心,雜菌等等,非常豐富。個味道同醬汁調得不錯,菜心冇渣,好好食。脆皮豬手  $128呢一隻豬手嘅份量好大,外皮炸到脆卜卜,豬手肉質嫩滑,亦都醃得夠入味,旁邊灑上很多蒜粒,食落去好香蒜味,送酒一流。生煎菜肉包  $38菜肉包個底煎到脆卜卜,菜肉餡亦都夠多汁,好好食。清蒸龍躉斑條龍躉鮑蒸得不錯,先講佢嘅魚肉,肉質非常嫩滑,而且蒸嘅火喉剛剛好,唔會過火。另外佢嘅蒸魚豉油又係一絕,撈咗成碗白飯食。
