To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 記得從前的「南記粉麵」只會出現在港鐵藍色綫的版圖上,對於居住大西北的筆者來說,想一試南記春卷是多麼艱苦的事。但現在它在旺角開了分店就方便得多了。「南記粉麵」旺角分店是樓上舖來的。餐牌上設有配搭好的超值套餐,但也可以選擇點自選套餐,由自己作出配搭。筆者點了一個自選配搭,麵底是清湯河粉,分別選了招牌春卷和竹笙。也許是太久沒有光顧「南記粉麵」,春卷好像比印象中的那條縮小了,外表也乾巴巴了一點。但還好口感和味道依舊不變,仍是煙韌又帶有微微魚香。另一配搭——竹笙卻有點失望。份量少之餘,味道亦很淡。筆者心想倒不如剛才點餐時只點春卷一項配搭吧。河粉份量是足夠的。而且加了枱面上的辣椒油後,可以在清湯的平淡中增添一份惹味。同場加映筆者母親所點的菜肉雲吞河粉,起初看帳單價錢有疑惑,後來才知道這是屬於特式系列,份量比筆者的自選餐多一倍,難怪價錢也貴一倍了。

也許是太久沒有光顧「南記粉麵」,春卷好像比印象中的那條縮小了,外表也乾巴巴了一點
。但還好口感和味道依舊不變,仍是煙韌又帶有微微魚香。
