To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 蒙牛請客帶一班印度朋友吃中菜, 為求方便就選寶湖, 印度朋友要求品嚐廣東菜的奇珍異品, 所以點了很多外國人都避之則吉的廣東美饌鮑魚花膠燉豬展火喉十足, 鮑魚味不太濃但是花膠很多, 啖啖湯味之中滲出豐富的膠質, 滋潤美顏。百花釀海參做得一般, 海參炆得不夠入味之餘, 口感又太腍, 百花味道淡又不夠彈牙, 失敗之作, 白雲豬腳仔炆得香軟腍滑, 豬腳仔皮薄肉多脂肪少, 水準之作, 炸子雞即點即做, 炸得合時香脆肉嫩, 十分開胃。豆豉蒸黃立倉恰到好處, 豆豉味濃肉味鮮,倉魚的size亦不算太細, 味道一流, 其他小炒則合格無失禮, 招呼周到, 唯獨洗手間太有香港特色, 污漕到暈,其他的都算不錯.
