To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 是夜親友設宴款待,金鐘北京樓。太古廣場,有一定氣派。感覺上裝潢中西式混合。單看餐桌,西餐味濃。冷盤小菜:海蜇、燻素鴨、醉雞,無甚特別,味道偏淡。海皇羹,賣相美觀,味道則同坊間酒家玻璃湯羹差異不大。蝦球,酸甜微辣,肉質算彈牙爽口。主角北京填鴨,賣相一流,肥瘦適中,肉質唔鞋口痴牙,值得一試。由於餐桌擠迫,條魚分好直接上檯,方便但不美觀,是好是壞見仁見智了。上湯茶菇炒小豆苗,味道幾清新獨別,質感幼嫩又帶點爽脆,唔錯。最後突然上左一隻單丁煎餃😂好騎呢,不過以餃子黎講幾出色,皮薄餡靚,又煎得金黃脆口。最後上埋水果,驚訝地發現無一款水果係甜既,全部水份偏少,並不清甜。整體黎講,可能主要食環境同地段吧,食物質素中規中矩、不過不失,招呼固然有,但大把做得殷勤過北京樓(唔講遠,近近地隔離天一已經比較出色),總之縱觀而言無乜驚喜。
