To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

在堡壘街上的麥記美食絕對不容易找，這天到附近探望侄兒，順便來回味這裡的街坊美食。本來想點生煎飽的，親切的老板娘（不知是否？）善意提點：「今日生煎飽唔係好靚，個底硬，不如叫鍋貼啦！」好，就要鍋貼！她還示意伙記給我一個生煎飽試味。這種對食物質素的執著和那一份濃濃的人情味，久違了！鍋貼皮薄有嚼勁，吃得出是自制的。底部煎到略焦，但豬肉餡肉仍能保持肉汁鮮甜，不錯。小籠飽真的即叫即蒸，還有菜鋪底，而且跟碟的香醋還有份量不少的新鮮薑絲，誠意十足。小籠飽的皮很薄，餡也很豐富，可惜肉汁不夠，差了一點。在炎夏的晚上，坐在街邊的檔仔，吃著熱辣辣的小籠飽和鍋貼，雖然有點悶熱，但心情是愉快的！
