To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 星期五既晚上約了友人在此開餐, 想食傳統京菜, 真係諗唔到去仲有邊間可以坐得舒服之餘又有好野食, 當然價錢仲有較為貼地啦!好彩一早訂左位, 七點鐘已經坐滿人黎呢度無可能唔叫烤北京填鴨 ($440), 師傅刀功了得, 每片都厚薄適中, 鴨烤到皮香肉嫩, 唔會有太多肥膏, 一隻鴨可片出兩碟, 伴以軟熟薄餅, 加D京䓤及甜醬一齊食, 鴨既油香同肉汁係口腔內爆發, 果然係招牌菜!呢條松子桂花魚 ($248), 將原條桂花魚拎去炸, 炸到皮香但魚肉仍保持嫩滑, 加埋酸甜醬汁, 夏天食好開胃, 真係連個魚頭都唔放過呀............哈!呢碟咸豐黃芽白炒年糕 ($108), 材料簡單包括黃芽白及火腿加年糕, 上海年糕炒得好食都唔係易, 一係軟硬度唔適中, 過硬/過䭃都口感變差, 呢度既就軟硬適中又唔會整到一塊塊痴住晒, 鮮甜既黃芽白夾咸香既火腿, 為淡口既年糕"注入"味道, 唔錯!無限時入座, 輕輕鬆鬆同友人傾下計, 侍應服務唔錯, 呢餐北京菜食得相當開心!
