個人接觸德國菜的機會不多,對菜色的認知亦有限,難得同食友飯聚,最好來一杯啤酒聊聊天。Schnee German Restaurant是樓上店,稍為避開地舖瘋狂加租,但同樣容易令街外人忽略店子的存在。餐廳的裝潢有不少德國風,而且有幾間廂房,正好供私人派對。傳統德國麵包拼盤配芝士碟 ($68)其實最喜歡Bavarian Pretzels,表面的鹽花可以更多,與傳統的德國啤酒真是絕配。一口氣來了三款不同風味的湯,最適合跟朋友分享。海鮮番茄清湯 ($68)用上雞湯,湯色清澈見底,簡單的只用西芹粒及甘筍粒,鮮甜可口,蝦仁及帶子,肉質幼嫩,三款湯中最欣賞。傳統匈牙利熱燉牛肉湯 ($58)選用澳洲牛仔面肉,肉質嫩滑,湯底除了牛肉外,更有洋蔥、番茄、西班牙紅椒粉、紅椒及薯仔,呷一口,很香濃的肉味,與前者是南轅北轍的口味。德國經典薯仔湯 ($58)同樣是牛清湯底,配以芹菜頭、洋蔥、薯仔及甘筍粒,每口都帶有薯仔茸的幼粒,很粗豪的風格。傳統德國脆薯餅 ($168)薯仔切得非常幼細,煎成薯餅後,可以配以野菌汁或者三文魚番茄汁,是一道很吸引的風味菜。精選德國香腸拼盤 ($188)德國香腸實在太出名,併盤由維也納
