To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 翠園是美心中菜旗下一個高級品牌,不論質素與味道都較一般酒樓好。但是,新都城翠園的服務態度與表現,完全令人嘆為觀止,奉勸各位小心為上。話說翠園11:00前有中茶優惠,11:00前入單,11:30前結帳方有優惠。於是10:15到場等位,初時見尚有15個號碼,於是耐心等候…..點知去到10:30酒樓內開始好多人結帳,枱亦開始多,當時尚有5個號碼的我,自然想像到可以準時入坐。時間一分一秒地過,去到10:45枱越來越多,但卻零叫號,於是詢問門口呀嬸,為何有枱不入,早茶快到。得到一句:夠鐘都無辦法。一下才恍然大悟,酒樓唔做早茶迫你食午市,一貫零良心做法,如果係咁,不如唔好做優惠,我亦大可幫襯其他酒樓,難怪整個集團「無良知」提醒各位,小心依間店
