替友人到灣仔會展攞入場證,辦完事後,約定喺港鐵站會合,然後再一起去吃晚飯。友人知我經常四出覓食,問我可有甚麼心水推介。其實每次同家人或朋友外出用膳,選擇餐廳和點菜的任務,大多數都會落在我身上,所以今次就決定躲躲懶,一於交由友人代勞。友人提議近近地,去熙華大廈嘅「東園酒家宴會廳」,也好,反正就在對面馬路,方便快捷。沿著樓梯拾級而上,宴會廳地方頗大,以寬敞舒適為賣點,裝潢高貴優雅,採用了純白和紫色為主調,營造出一派浪漫法式宮廷風,配合天花垂掛著嘅大型水晶燈,瑰麗而不落俗套。入座後,先揭開檯上金光閃閃的餐牌,再逐頁細看,食物分門別類,有生猛海鮮、小食湯羹、珍饈百味、明爐燒烤、東園品味、青蔬豆腐、家常小菜、煲仔小菜、飯麵甜點,全部中英對照。另外亦有一些大廚推介菜式,如淮杞螺頭燉翅群、晚飯三寶、黃尾花躉兩味、是日靚湯:金銀菜煲隔山肉等。至於茶錢方面,茗茶每位 $11、酸菜每碟 $15、白飯每位 $10、白粥每位 $10,如自攜酒水就每瓶收 $50。這晚前菜小食是平日比較少碰見嘅涼拌貢菜 ($15),挾起一看,色澤鮮綠,質地非常爽脆,而且辣度溫和,醒胃可口,有助驅趕濕氣,就算唔嗜辣的朋友都啱食。友

友人之前曾在這裡嘗過一席「秋日龍躉心動宴」,覺得食物水準唔錯,尤其是對當中嘅「清蒸龍躉」,更是讚不絕口,見點菜紙上有黃尾花躉兩味 ($238),嚷著要重溫。龍躉菜式「一魚兩味」,包括有:雲耳金瓜蒸龍躉頭腩同清脆淮山炒躉球。前者選用了油脂豐腴的龍躉頭腩入饌,配合蒸煮方法,不但能突出其魚油香味,而且令肉質嫩滑的魚腩位,入口變得更為順滑,帶陣陣魚鮮;加上雲耳和南瓜一起蒸煮,既養生又好吃。

至於另一味清脆淮山炒躉球,龍躉起肉後以淮山、蜜豆、紫洋蔥、雜菇和紅椒等同炒。挾起魚肉一看,色澤雪白,紋理凹凸有緻,賣相對辦。馬上一試,肉質果然不俗,結實有嚼勁,入口啖啖肉、帶魚肉鮮甜,加上魚皮膠質勁豐富,以淮山伴吃,爽口開胃,健康有益。

食完龍躉,仍有點意猶未盡,一於再揀多味海鮮,選了這客貴妃脆蝦球 ($138),虎蝦去殼沾粉後炸香,上桌時見粒粒大如乒乓球,色澤金黃,賣相吸引。咬開外層,炸漿既均勻又夠薄,咬下卜卜脆,而入面嘅蝦肉,亦夠曬彈牙鮮美,蘸點蜜糖吃,特別醒胃。

平日經常外出用膳,多肉少菜,壓尾就決定揀個素菜來平衡一下。這客荷花鼎湖上素 ($88),外型非常煞食,用上心心外形做賣點,配以時令素菜。上桌後馬上舀起一看,嘩!用料甚豐,除了有爽甜的豆角、雜菌、白果外,還有杞子、馬蹄、蓮藕、木耳等,夠曬大堆頭。而筆者就尤其喜愛伴吃的芋蓉,炸得香鬆酥化,就算多吃兩口也不覺膩。

飯後竟然還有甜品送,有紅豆沙綠豆沙,沒試友人的綠豆沙,而我揀嘅紅豆沙,雖然沒煲至起沙,但甜度適中,紅豆粉綿香甜,味道亦不俗。能舒舒服服地和友人天南地北、胡扯了一晚,真一樂也。
