To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 聖誕前公司搞team building 當慶祝聖誕節,重點活動唔係上午同下午體力勞動的team building 活動,而是中午南丫島食海鮮啦!據我所知,這間食海鮮係有船入去南丫島,所以公司揀左這間海鮮酒家一來到南丫島,酒家有專人安排入座,由於我條team都有五六十人,佢地都算快安好坐位一齊人無幾耐,就立刻上菜第一樣:黑胡椒浸蜆 (唔做好有胡椒味同有沙)第二樣:椒鹽鮮魷(夠脆口,外面層粉夠薄,又入味)秘制生海蝦(個汁入晒蝦到,少少甜,幾野味)翡翠石班球(我食果舊好生,我麻麻地)古法蒸石班頭腩(都算幾新鮮,夠鮮甜)蒜蓉蒸龍蝦(真係得咁大碟,隻龍蝦有點細,但都香蒜蓉味,ok啦)薑蔥炒蟹(炒得都幾香口,但細隻左少少,但都幾好食)最後來的係清蒸鮑魚:size 都ok又新鮮,蒸得剛剛好,這個是我滿意的)
