To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 每一年中秋,無論如何我都一定會吃些月餅應節,其中陪伴我大部份中秋時光的,必定是美心雙黃蓮蓉月。今年有點例外,捨傳統而取奶黃和冰皮,新意感大增,味道也不錯。美心在冰皮市場算是遲起步,可能知恥近乎勇,投放的心力研究卻不少,今年的冰皮月餅,相比起往年,餅皮更煙韌,也更為好吃,據說,是多年研發成果的收成。今年吃到的冰皮,是仲夏水果系列,以雙水果味道作賣點,共有四款味道,分別是粉紅番石榴杏脯、藍莓二重奏、士多啤梨、熱情果柚子,每款兩個。仲夏水果系列,中間的是水果果蓉,選取的都是夏日當做的水果,在秋意漸涼的日子感受夏日的氣息,讓人感覺很舒服,哈哈。四款之中,個人最喜歡熱情果柚子,熱情果的清新和柚子的酸甜很夾,和冰皮的味道也很匹配,吃了一整個也不會很甜膩,不錯。唯一要挑釁的是中間沒有果蓉的口感,可能是水果種類的問題吧,沒有如士多啤梨那一款的口感。至於士多啤梨和藍莓兩款,在室溫下解凍一會,中間的流心效果做得很不錯,也不會很「藥水」的味道,喜歡流心的朋友可以試試。最後是粉紅番石榴杏脯,最沒期望的一款反而有點驚喜,緣於個人很怕太甜的杏脯,但用杏脯做成的冰皮卻沒有太甜感覺,也是以清新為主,很特別。總括而言,

最後是粉紅番石榴杏脯,最沒期望的一款反而有點驚喜,緣於個人很怕太甜的杏脯,但用杏脯做成的冰皮卻沒有太甜感覺,也是以清新為主,很特別。

總括而言,美心冰皮的餅皮的確是改進了,口感煙韌更佳,但除了熱情果柚子的流心問題外,另外三款雖然流心,但餅底卻看到明顯的冷縮熱脹做成的凹陷,雖然不會影響味道,也希望明年能有更改良的版本吧。

和冰皮一樣,奶黃月面上有美心二字,今年包裝上多了一金屬圓圖案,真如名字一樣尊貴了很多。

今年,每一盒尊貴奶黃月裡都有一張問卷咭,客戶可上網頁填妥問卷,可得一份小禮品。

奶黃月要熱的才好吃,把它放進微波爐加熱十秒左右,就差不多了。輕輕切開,雖然已經經過微波爐加熱,但切下去的感覺餅皮還是有點過濕過腍。

切開後,中間的奶黃餡偏向黃色,蛋黃味有但不重,甜而不膩,味道還是一貫的美心水準。

冰與火的交融,先吃冰,後嚐火,兩種不同口感味道的月餅,各有特別,也很滿足。今年的美心月餅,我就只差最喜歡的雙黃白蓮蓉還未吃,就留待中秋節才吃吧!
