To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 第一次來到北京樓飲宴, 外面的枱有7成也是外國人, 應該都是遊客, 外國人的文化, 用餐時都不會高談濶論, 所以場內比一般酒樓安靜得令人驚訝, 或者他們也專心地克服用筷子進餐, 無暇聊天... 當踏入婚宴場地, 又是另一番景象, 各位親戚好友, 歡天喜地, 開懷大笑,非常熱鬧。這是特別的一餐, 用烤北京田鴨取代了普通婚晏的炸子雞, 京鍋明蝦球非常惹味, 帶少許辛辣, 取代了一般的青芹炒珊瑚丰/帶子; 金豬大紅袍非常脆口,而墊底的肉也很香嫩;御用雞燉翅用的翅份量也非常驚人, 雞湯有香濃的雞味但不油膩,配上用黎送湯的葱油包,非常出色。烤北京田鴨最為失色,肉質很鞋,而且鴨皮不知為何那麼少,肉的部份切得太厚,沒有了鴨皮的油香。其餘的餸菜也不錯。甜品方面,菜單上寫的是炸芝麻湯丸+高力豆沙香蕉,但上枱時炸芝麻湯丸變成了炸紅棗湯丸,但同樣出色好味,紅棗的香味給人的感覺很健康,雖是炸物但有藉口多吃一顆。整體的的感覺還是不錯的,只是侍應們的分配是2人服務3圍, 可能也不常做婚宴服務或可能是替工,有點手忙腳亂,但還是很有禮貌和自動加汽水, 又不會夾硬分配餸菜。以下就是婚宴的菜單.......金豬大紅袍京鍋
