To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 23/8 我同朋友係呢間餐廳試食左少鹽少糖既菜式,分別係「時菜珍菌湯米粉」、「生菜鯪魚肉湯米線」和「蕃茄炒蛋配白飯」。當我地食緊時菜珍菌湯米粉,我見到佢有好多新鮮的蔬菜和唔同菇類,同埋呢間餐廳只係落左少少的調味,所以呢碟所有食材同湯已經係好夠味又健康。😁而生菜鯪魚肉湯米線,我食果粒鯪魚肉就覺得係落左少少鹽,但就已經好夠味,而且口感亦都係好好。仲要配埋米線就已經好飽肚了😋最後就係蕃茄炒蛋配白飯,呢碟野黎到枱上面,就覺得佢好顏色鮮艷,而且食落明明都覺得呢碟飯係落少左一半既鹽,又冇落到任何調味料,但因為蕃茄汁係用新鮮蕃茄炮製而成,所以食落呢碟飯都覺得好鮮甜😋 完全唔會因為落少左糖或鹽,而影響到味道。👍🏻整體黎講,呢間餐廳整既特選少鹽少糖既菜式係整得好味又十分健康。我會下次再黎食👍🏻
