To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 金鐘的北京樓裝修之後重開,一天踫巧一訪午膳。北京填鴨是我們的必點例牌菜,半隻都有很多片皮肉。然而鴨皮不夠香,鴨肉亦較乾,風味不及以前。再加上用來包著鴨片的餅皮不夠熱,稍為遜色。鍋貼屬正常發揮,煎得脆底,肉餡雖然未至爆汁,倒仍不失有汁。而因為鍋貼本身經已調味恰當,旁邊的酸醋未能帶出鮮香的作用,屬可有可無之物。糖醋桂魚就出色得多,即時跑出。桂魚炸得外皮極之香脆,魚肉竟然還可保持嫩滑,一脆一嫩,我們大愛!糖醋汁酸甜平衡得甚佳,惹味程度爆燈!友人每次見到即時雙眼發光的嫩雞煨麵,上桌時根本就只見到一碗混成一堆的東西。雞湯好像烯了些,不夠濃稠,雞塊又炒又細,麵條更似是煮過頭。一個華麗轉身之後,似乎需要點時間才可以復元。
