To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 幫襯慣平易近人的茶記,來到這家不設茶餐、收費貴上3-4成的港灣靚裝茶餐廳,心裡始終不太適應。不過誰叫自己想品嚐其咸牛肉菠蘿包呢? 4個人的下午茶,由我拍版散叫了: 多士(單/雙併$10/$12)-選了微酸開胃的果占多,有一定厚度及質感的麵包烘得金黃香脆,味道不錯。 法蘭西多士($20)-炸得金黃卻不太油膩,加上夾層厚厚的花生醬,半融牛油及香甜蜜糖,是肥死人但也引死人之選,還好多人分享肥膩可減低罪惡感。 咸牛肉菠蘿包($24)-今次來的目標,雖然價錢貴得令人咋舌,但菠蘿外層原來不算太脆,配上咸牛肉的咸甜交錯效果,亦不如金黃的菠蘿蛋包,不抵食啊。又原來除了咸牛肉,大家也可自選其他特色內餡配搭菠蘿包,如餐肉、火腿等,但我就沒興趣再試了。 凍熱奶茶($17/$14)-就是lipton金裝奶茶味道,其實不算差,以味道計比咖啡店飲品抵,可作為傳統港女,心理上始終覺得散叫奶茶不抵。 蕃薯金粟糖水($18)-相比之下糖水收這個價就不算貴,然而薑味與甜味較重,蕃薯很難吃,加上金粟又是怪怪,仍是不推介之選。  下次有機會去灣仔下午茶,還是首選去豪華咖啡茶廳,好想試它家紅豆冰+厚多士呢!
